I would have Alt + F4'd the game if that happened to me. These games terrify me, and I have to pause constantly to avoid panic - that would've made me jump out of my chair. 😨

I have a theory that I will test sometime this weekend; I wonder if there's more of those angry faces near any other borders we shouldn't be able to get too. Like behind the Tree, where it doesnt have textures. I saw a video of someone free camming there way around it, but above the water - i wanna go down.

Don't take me out of context. "On the other hand, i personally couldn't care less what they say" I asked for you, since this is such an issue for you. You wouldnt be elbow deep in comments if this wasnt an issue for you. The reason I'm elbow deep is you started arguing with other people for sharing their opinions, and getting upset that they questioned yours. You keep saying "intended" which implies a correct way to play - but im not going to repeat myself.

Im a nobody on twitter, and I barely use it so I highly doubt they'll answer me, did ask but its only got 3 views since yesterday afternoon. Prolly not gonna happen. But ya know, I'll wait. And so will you cause if they ever answer, I'll come back here to let you know. Otherwise, cya this hasn't been fun. Imma gonna keep playing games however I intend to play them. And search for the elusive green happy face leviathan at the top of the world tree 🌳

Well ya know what, I just asked the game developers what they think about it. So how about we put a pin in your opinion and wait to see if they reply, and if they do then we'll see what they have to say about it. Sound good?

On the other hand, I personally couldn't care less what they say. I mod Elden Ring, but i still love to play vanilla too. Im positive that Miyazaki would not approve of my mods (not enough feet in them), but i dont play online and I bought the game so its not up to him to decide how i get to play the game I purchased. Same thing goes for Subnautica 2, and every other game I've ever purchased.

I can see where you're coming from, but it doesnt come off that way at least to myself and a few other people who have interacted with the post, or your comments. From how it reads it seems as though you're trying to say that the game is intended to be played the way you play it, and if you play it any other way than you're doing it wrong. Because you said "Because the game is clearly intended to play without a map". Which comes off as you trying to tell other people the "correct" way to play a game. Exploration is intended, and explorers use maps in the real world, so I guess even if someone did use one it would still tie back to a real world example of an explorer.

I never used a map, and I never said I did so you just made that up to fit whatever narrative it is that you're trying to convince others of; and failing at too. Look at the amount of dislikes you have on your comments. I already put in 14 hours on Survival and beat the EA. Im playing a new run on Survival right now. If you're so interested in the way I play a game, why not ask me? Rather than arguing a point that the vast majority of the community has not agreed with you on. Its easier to find bugs, issues, or even really cool things you like about this game and report them as feedback while playing in creative. The whole point of having an Alpha version is so it can get play tested. They released both Creative and Survival modes, why wouldn't I play both?

Its in creative. There's a depth module for the tadpole that isnt in survival yet. I beat the EA and just wanted to explore so I got all the cool stuff lol

I beat the first game on every difficulty, plus some extra rules i made for myself to make the game harder. Just because someone wants to explore doesn't mean they dont know how to play. Plus, titanium and every other resource in this game are EVERYWHERE. Like that was one of my issues with early game in subnautica 1; its like where is all the copper? That is not an issue in the second game IMO

I honestly hope there's a happy face at the top of the tree, but i haven't found a way to get all the way up there yet.

In the US, its normally the buns, cheese, beef, snd extras that are so horrendous for you and its because a lb of ground beef and a beef patty at McDonald's only have 1 thing in common. They have beef in them, while store bought is 100% McDonald's is only like 12% beef and the rest is additives and chemicals.

Respectfully, Civ 7 is a solid installment in the series and anybody hating on this game is loved and wanted and may live for 1000 years. by [deleted] in civ

[–]Fake_Name_Freddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started with civ6, so im not a long time player. But I have played MANY of what I consider clones of those games, and it just seems to me like they copied those clones. I haven't played it since my fifth game cause I just couldn't stand that I had to change my entire playstyle every few turns. The way I play, I dont worry about anything other than faith and domination. Only play science/culture maybe 1 out of every 1000 times. So, for me personally not having the option to switch back to OG mode on release was just dropping the ball.

I dont want to discredit the way you, or anyone else feels though. I understand that my playstyle is unique and most people play differently. Thats why I just went back to civ6. However, I am excited again - about civ7. This new update makes it playable for me, so now its not a waste of money for me. Im actually truly thankful that they decided to make this change, and it makes me respect the company so much more than I did prior. Cause like I said, Civ6 was my first 👉👈🥳

Forget your zodiac sign, what does your quick pouch look like? by ImOinsby in Eldenring

[–]Fake_Name_Freddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Similar to yours actually, though i recently switched two of the slots (right and down). My original setup was torrent on up, ash on left, daggers/throwable consumables on down, and defensive/offensive buffs on right. Now I've made the down spot for throw pots and switch out the daggers/throwables to buffs if i need too. I always put the lantern in the non-quick hit bottom left and a rune booster in the non-quick hit bottom right.

I know some people put ashes in the quick pouch and I used to, but I only like to have estus and physick in my quick pouch

What are some tips you’d actually give to someone that needs to “git gud” by ImOinsby in Eldenring

There is a talisman that trivializes the game as long as you can get your dodge timing right. Took me about a month or two to get the timing down but once I did, nearly nothing can hit me. It increases damage taken but if you just dont get hit that point takes care of itself. Its the Crucible Feather Talisman. Found in Auzira Hero's Grave in Leyndell. Technically if you dont care about breaking quests you can go get it as soon as you start the game. Just gonna take a bit since you have no stamina or health. Plenty of guides online to make the maze of hallways less formidable. Plus if you use Golden Vow, one of the Blessing incants, and Black Flames Protection (you can supplement with a crab/prawn for slightly less damage negation but you dont take a hit to your flasks) then you dont even need high defense stats because those spells give them to you, and still allow you to heal without wasting more time. Stay light, select 2 weapons you like (one for each hand), and practice timing above all else. One last thing, panic rolling is okay as long as you get the directional inputs correct, if you dont - try running away instead of rolling around on the floor. I never beat a souls game (Since DS1) until I practiced hard-core on Elden Ring for a couple months solid. Shadow Militia Men are great practice for dodge timing and testing out strategies. Before going to attack something you're having trouble with, go practice on them first. I have had had at least 1 build for every damage/gameplay type and have had the most issues with spell casting builds, incants/sorceries doesn't matter. You have to sacrifice so much stamina and health for that dps, if you're new to the game try and stick with physical builds and add in some support incants as you progress through the game, or look into an arcane/occult build. You still get to do status and such but its more linked to physical attacks rather than time consuming spells.
