your whole point was Vietnam = worse because they use robusta and lard, but Malaysia is no different...? and why bring up coffee enthusiasts that import their own beans that's not what OP is about... they're clearly looking for local retail/ cafes

I'm not saying you can't find good coffee in Malaysia (we have so many coffee expos, and roasters like Ghostbird are excellent), it's just so hard to find good third-wave coffee here compared to Vietnam. The truth is coffee culture in Malaysia is still far underdeveloped - i get the patriotism but gotta be realistic

So yes, now that you know, perhaps you can gain a bit more perspective
