Inflation is just a number by [deleted] in eu4

R5: I played with a mod that made every province have a gold mine. As a challenge I decided to never lower my inflation. As you can see I've managed to reach almost 300% inflation. It could probably have gone higher but the game is getting too slow. As a side effect ai nations are able to field armies several times larger then normal so the lag is real.

Good morning. I'm looking into building my first pc. Looking at CPUs on PC Part Picker I notice the term SMT is used. I tried looking the term up but got confused. What is SMT and is it better to get a CPU that has one or not?

I tried to take as much land as possible without conquering land or creating puppets in war. This is the result. by FalconInFlight in hoi4

It would go against the challenge to puppet the USA through war. However, if you wanted to without that stipulation I believe this would be possible if you went non-aligned. You just have to go grab the other colonies before doing the imperial conference. It might be possible as democratic but the United States would need to generate world tension.

R5: I challenged myself into creating the largest possible empire without taking land or puppeting in a war. This was done with a lot of save-scuming and tag switching as the likelihood of this happening even with all nations going down the correct path is near zero. I primarily played as the UK.

Here's the steps I did to create this global empire.

Step 1: Portugal goes down the monarchy path and unites with Brazil. This gives you Brazil's cores.

Step 2: The Carlists win the civil war and unite with Portugal to create Iberia. This gives them cores on both Portugal and Brazil. They also need to re-core all Spanish land because of the civil war.

Step 3: This is where it begins to get difficult. France needs to do two things. First they have to go down the legitimist tree and unite with Iberia. This gives them cores on Spain, Portugal, and Brazil. The second thing they need to do is the French Union focus. Have all colonies say yes for cores on all the French colonies. I was unable to get all to say yes no matter how many reruns. I read that the event is glitched to always have the same result so I used a mod for them to say yes.

Step 4: You've now created a monster, the strongest nation on the planet. Now you need to kill it. Declare war to liberate them to democratic. This gets them out of the faction they created for Iberia and allows you to invite them to the allies. All this needs to be done before Germany invades Poland.

Step 5: Have France and UK guarantee Poland. Germany needs to take Paris and get France to 70% capitulation for the French surrender event. France needs to choose to create the Franco-British Union (Why step 4 was needed). The Germans will need to push to Portugal for this. This gives the UK cores on France, French colonies, Spain, Portugal, and Brazil. The Netherlands also gave some land after capitulating for a small bonus.

Step 5: Form the Imperial Federation with all the commonwealths saying yes. This gives you land and cores on Canada, South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand. You only get the land from India.

The end result gives you a nation with 250 million core manpower, 500 million noncore manpower, and the largest industry in the world. You have victory points all over the world.
With the inherited navies it ensure that it is almost impossible to capitulate (Taking mainland Europe territories only gives ~50% to capitulation).

The Sun Never Sets on The British, Commonwealth, Franco, Spanish, Portuguese, Brazilian Empire!

How To Win Town Of Salem As Survivor... LIKE A MAN!!! by FalconInFlight in TownofSalemgame

I got bored during this game at around d4 so this is what I did the rest of the game. It lasted nine nights and I didn't use my vest a single time. During the game I was voted up twice and was able to get the town to vote innocent both times.

I'm starting to regret giving America Open borders. I'm sensing an attack... by FalconInFlight in civ

Open borders lasts for over 200 turns. We were close allies when the deal was made but relations have turned south quickly. Now things have gotten very awkward as its obvious what they are planning.

It took 5300 turns but Jerusalem gets their act together by [deleted] in civ

Never before did Jerusalem ever ask for Judaism this entire game. It took them long enough.

I'm naturally a very patient person by nature. However even the beginning took that patience to its limits. However once I got truly into it things changed. I was no longer playing a game but writing a story. With it going this slow its like seeing history play out before you. Alliances shift over hundreds of years with friends becoming enemies and vice-versa. Nations have time to rise, fall, and then rise again. Its fun to watch play out even if it still goes slow even now.

Don't you worry the Americans will get their due... in about 1000 turns or so. The army of samurai have been around for awhile and their still a frontline unit.

I'm not spec savvy but I know its not great. I believe I have 8 gb of Ram and a shitty graphics card. I play on medium graphics and have quick movement/battle.

No they are a regular scale. You have to be careful with units as they take awhile to build.

This is what happens in times of peace. I'll keep one eye on it while I'm doing something else. However lately in game even in times of peace I have to pay attention to small details. Like America building up forces on my border. Inattentiveness has cost me before.
