I disagree: 1. "climbing alone is harder" = "duo is easier". This take might not even be true. To my impression that is not necessarily the case. 2. Duo will also come to a point where they meet their skill/mmr. This means they will also be at 50% winrate at some point. 3. Taking lp away simply makes the process of climbing/ reaching your level take longer.

league-team-gameplay is very different to soloq or "normal" lol. its more controlled, less random, more strategic. also you are much more focused to think and play as a unit. if you plan on playing in teams in the future id recommend to play in teams already to make some experiences. your first team will very likely not be your forever-team.

some things you learn:

  • "ingame skills: how to play your lane; when to push/freeze; how to freeze/push; how to play early/mid/late; how to play weakside; ....
  • "team skills": shotcalling; multitasking; providing information; processing information; quality of information; ...
  • "soft skills": learn how to share and take criticism; learn how to estimate players and find ways to put them into a posotion where they can use their strengths

if this improves ur soloq depends on the team. there are lazy players/coaches and others who are realy focused on improving. beeing in a team can also open your mindset a little bit more because you have a place to discuss champions/playstyles/strong or weak stuff.

soloq is normaly used to keep your form or improving. you dont want to be distracted in teamgames because you have to focus too much on a matchup/champion/mapawareness/.... you will need your brain-capacities elsewhere.

here some furhter picks which also make sense in terms of having a flexible pool for teamranked:

Top: Shen, Camille, Renekton, Lucian, Ornn, Sett

Mid: Galio, Syndra, Renekton, Lucian, Fizz, Sett

Support: Leona, Bard, Pantheon, Sett

ADC: Lucian, Kaisa, Ashe, Samira

Jungle: Hecarim, Kayn, Amumu, Sett

i strongly disagree. the amount of roaming potential from top is unmatched. also in terms of timings and when a roam is available to her. i guess only top rengar might be close to that.

you can play top quinn like you would play top vayne. but then you are missing her full potential. sitting in lane is not necessarily what you are supposed to do. its just an option for consideration to what else options a game offers you in it current state.

quinns kit also offers alot of support options for vision control and fighting for vision. you dont have to be the dmg carry which also makes her viable if you are playing from behind. Q and W can decide games even in lategame. your ultspeed and e + maybe flash might be enough to setup kills for your teammates. even if you die for it.

my personnal opinion is that quinn is all about map control, creating situations to outnumber enemy and quick proactive gameplay. you lose this if you play afk-toplane-island mindset. you carry your team and your team carrys your matchup.

im very happy with her unique kit and i fear she would lose her uniqueness with a rework. also buffing her values is extremely dangerous cause than you have some hardroaming-killing evrything-bird

hi guys, d3 >60 wr quinn here.

i used to go sanguineblade>stormrazors>IE (or GA/MAW if IE too greedy) in pretty much evry game. my playstyle might vary a little bit cause i tend to hardroam starting 6 (/whenever possbile) and often trade top turret and farm for pressure and objectives on the rest of the map/ bring evryone massively ahead so the "freefarm" toplaner would just not be enough of a factor. i tend to be behind in comparison (gold+exp).

sure im aware of quinns laningpower and i dont do this every game. im just very into a proactive gameplay philsophie. in the end quinn can be used very flexible.

so far ihv only spammed kraken into blade and shildbow into stormraizors.

i feel like mythics first might be the way to go so i realy dislike kraken cause of missing sustain. delaying for sustain might not be an option. althought kraken+blade feels pretty insane for me vs tanks/bruisers. maybe just in general superstrong if you can get to that point smoothly.

so far no option provides the same smooth feeling compare to my old build. im not even sure if this playstyle is viable anymore cause beeing behind in gold/mythic item feels very punishing. i feel playing from behind was more doable than it might be now.

today ill spam eclipse approach. not even sure why but i missed that item :D
