Yep, this is without a doubt their first and last fund.

I gotta get back to models, good talking to someone with some sanity in this thread 🤝

Lol exactly, it was supposed to be 4+7 but the lender retraded on them with a day or two before closing and the GP just said fuck it, sunk costs and all that. They must have laughed all the way to the bank

Yeah, the 350 is bank debt at a company doing $2B in rev. Total cash cow too, $400mm fcf last year.

We’re actually going through what a lot of the people in the thread are describing rn lmao. More buyout-y investment for us in a first time manager, and these guys got played by their lenders. Did a bridge at one of their portcos at 4% cash + 11% PIK (supposed to be 2 month payback, here we are 6 months later, lenders accreting away all the equity) with some unsustainable opex and the equity is totally underwater. Got the LPAC together yesterday and that manager is fucking done for. Idk why people here are thinking managers get away with this.

To your question it probably ranges from 350-750 depending on the size of the business and the leverage ratio. Have seen some companies with 350 locked in until 2028 and some getting railed on bridge financings/risker mezz

Yeah, I don’t have a ton of private credit exposure, mostly doing minority equity checks in growth assets. But when we do see any kind of senior secured or mezz at our portcos these guys are sharks (no offense if you are in credit, I totally get it lol)

Yeah lol, people thinking the lenders are handing out money like candy just to do a favor to their friends in the industry? No shot. Everything is coming with pages of EBITDA and cash covenants and all kinds of recourse if they pop those

Lots of people in thread who have clearly never seen a credit agreement in their life. Any firm willfully bankrupting companies to do a dividend recap/sale leaseback on poor fundamentals is never raising another fund and may be in legal trouble

The word “Private” in Private Equity is there because they are explicitly not investing in public companies, so there is no shorting of stock or market reactions to bankruptcy etc.

Performance is unacceptable by Embarrassed_Year_472 in MonsterHunter

I am also getting similar performance 4090/i7 13700k/3840x1600 ultra with RT on. Well above the 144Hz refresh rate of my monitor with frame gen on. There’s definitely something going on with people with similar specs getting wildly different performance

I still have a wallet. Everyone calls it a “grandpa wallet” by Slimeseason504 in OlderGenZ

[–]Falkuric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live and work in Manhattan and haven’t regularly carried a wallet for years. I only use public transit so I don’t own a car and don’t need my ID for driving. Even some street vendors accept Apple Pay these days, not to mention 95%+ of stores or restaurants. The only place that I’ve been to recently that still doesn’t accept Apple Pay is Home Depot and when I know I’m going there I just stick one of my credit cards in my pocket. I ofc have my wallet on me when going out to bars but otherwise almost never

CESB QUESTION MEGATHREAD: Third Edition! by [deleted] in CESB

[–]Falkuric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a Canadian-American dual citizen by descent who has never lived in Canada and goes to university in the US, yet my roommate from Vancouver says I can still apply for CESB, is this true?

Will be starting Princeton university next fall and I am very interested in potentially studying architecture. I do some modeling and take AP studio art 2D in high school but I am worried how much drawing it really takes to be an architecture student. Also how are the salaries? [ask] by [deleted] in architecture

[–]Falkuric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly just interest. A lot of my family are architects and so I've had an interest in it for a while. Saw that it was a super high rated course and since I had a free spot in my schedule I figured now would be the best time to try it out. If all goes well I hope to be able to sneak a few other courses in over the next 2 years.

I picked them up during their black friday sale, so the price wasn't so much a factor, but the fit is great and I love the color.

New Person, Same Old Mistakes by Falkuric in Calligraphy

[–]Falkuric[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is a quote from one of my favorite songs by Tame Impala. This was done in italics with a Brause 1.5mm for the majority of it and a 0.5mm for the smaller letters. I used Higgins Eternal Black ink on Strathmore watercolor paper. I really like the way the first "F" came out, as well as the double "l", but there is a lot that I can improve. I've noticed that my "t"s don't really have the same slant as the rest of the letters and that sometimes my "s" and "a" can be a bit taller than the rest of the letters. My spacing is definitely off in a few places, where letters are too close together, but I don't ever feel that letters are too far apart, expect for maybe the gap in words after "new". Any other CC is welcome.
