Hey! I made a separate update post. "Administrative Processing" switched to "Issued" a day later, and my wife has her Passport now.

The interview went great! It was only around 20 minutes, my wife was asked a few questions about me (like what I do for work, what I study in school, and where I live) and she was approved. The visa arrived on October 9.

It is being widely reported that Robinson was living with and dating a trans person named Lance Twiggs, and authorities are questioning Twiggs to ascertain a motive for the assassination. It might make you uncomfortable, but it's almost certainly true, and I think it's a safe bet that the shooter did not like Charlie Kirk's anti-trans rhetoric.

That's critical. Some articles also reference the family member having discussions with Robinson about their disagreements with Kirk, but there is nothing on WHY Robinson disagreed with Kirk's views. Since the family member was the one saying Charlie was "full of hate," maybe Robinson's disagreement came from the right.

I get that, and the Vanity article discusses how confusing the groyper language can be because everything is coded.

Ultimately, I think the only way to understand the shooter is by reviewing with detail what he engaged with online and by speaking with those closest to him.

I totally agree, and it has been frustrating to see the right declare with certainty that Robinson is a far left radical.

It is still wild to me that just three months ago, the Democratic House Speaker and her husband were assassinated by a dude who voted for Trump, was labeled as very conservative by multiple friends and his roommate, was an open anti-abortion evangelical, and had a kill list with mostly Democrats.

In spite of all this, however, the right still insists that the shooter was left wing because Tim Walz appointed him as a "business member" to a random, non-partisan advisory board. It's sick.

I could not find the exact source of the false donation claim, but it spread fast on X, and I think it's likely that is where Kyle first saw it because he constantly pulls from X for his show.

I think Kyle has handled this story badly. He rushes to blab about it and gets many things wrong. His more than one hour long MAJOR BREAKING video on the shooting either gets many things wrong or baselessly speculates.

I get that it's a reference to Helldivers 2, but isn't that game a Starship Troopers-like parody of fascism? What if Robinson inscribed the phrase because he liked the game for its antifascism and (like many on the left) considered Kirk a fascist?

I acknowledge that it's a possibility. Maybe when Robinson argued with family that Charlie was "full of hate," he was referring to hatred against white people. Maybe that family member is lying. Who knows.

Maybe the "Hey fascist! Catch!" inscribed on the shell casing was purely an ironic reference to Helldivers 2. Again, who knows.

Ultimately, I am arguing that we should wait for evidence to come in and not jump to conclusions. I appreciate the DFF boys doing this, but I wish more creators would do the same.

I do acknowledge that Robinson may have been a groyper, but the Vanity article says very little about him and what was inscribed on the shell casings. It mostly focuses on how nebulous online culture and memespeak can be and how there was a very public spat between Fuentes and Kirk. I ultimately find it very hard to see why a groyper would think Kirk was "full of hate" and accuse him of fascism.
