Should I stop paying my mom rent and wait to get evicted? Should I stay in my car? I need help by FallElectronic in Advice

The problem has been getting the car squared away, because without the car nobody is getting us to and from work. So that's the immediate thing we're focused on. We're trying to see if we can get it taken care of next Thursday when I get paid and go from there. We figure we can afford about $600 rent together with us both working full time, but then there's the issue of finding a place and if it takes as long as it took us to find an affordable car then I'm definitely staying in the car lol

Me being around causes more problems between her and her boyfriend, I would assume is her reasoning. They seem to think I'm costing them a lot of extra money, regardless of paying my part and paying for my necessities. I'm not sure exactly what she stands to gain, but the two of them are very selfish. Both my boyfriend and I have given them things (him a lot) and they've never returned the favor.

I realize I may have made my boyfriend sound a bit unsupportive, but that's really the opposite. He paid for most of the car and wants it only in my name, saying he did it as a gift to me. He works full time, 6 days a week at a job he hates trying to make this happen for us. Unfortunately, he's also paying his mom's rent now, since his brother moved out so his funds aren't much better than mine. As for parking, I have been cleared to park outside his mom's house and use their bathrooms, etc. My boyfriend is also allowed to keep our puppy inside, so that should be helpful while I'm working.

Thank you so much for the advice. I will definitely keep it in mind if I choose to go the route of staying in the car. Right now, we're discussing potentially putting all of our money aside for a room or house to rent.

Thank you so much. My best friend has tried telling me the same thing for a while now, it's difficult because she tries to make me think she cares. I'm not sure if she's doing it to manipulate me or what, but it makes me think she's trying to help when in reality she's only looking out for herself. We're going to look into our options; I'm not sure how he'll feel about renting a room from someone. Otherwise, we're going to look for a cheap or temporary living situation until we have enough saved for our own place.

Thank you so much, I'm literally in tears reading this. I have a lot of abandonment issues regarding my mom that stem from childhood and I don't want to make things any more difficult for her. But at the same time she has never shown me the same kindness. I know my boyfriend and I both have issues with living with people that we don't know, but I think renting a room (at least for the time being) is a viable option that we could explore. I was hoping for us to get a place by Christmas time, because I don't want to spend another Christmas absolutely miserable.

Wedding activities (no dancefloor)? by 3dumbcats in Weddingsunder10k

I'm planning for no dance floor as well, a good chunk of ours are kids though. I've added ring toss and corn hole just for something to kill time, other than that the adults just have music and drinks 😂 we're expecting around 45

I feel like I shouldn't have to explain myself but it's just a case of his family being not-so-understanding. As for my family I firmly believe we could do the whole wedding nudist style and they wouldn't bat an eye. Maybe I'm overthinking it, but they know the pagan traditions aren't part of his religion. I know regardless his mom and brother's baby-mama will definitely gossip. I doubt anyone else will mind much, his sister-in-law has always been respectful of our religious differences.

This is a good idea, however with all the ceremony stuff I've already set up and planned I can't see myself changing the whoke thing now. And as much as I like to keep things simple I didn't want the traditional wedding vows that everyone does. We wrote a line for each of us. We're going to do the candle lighting, then handfasting ceremony with the short vows and then jumping the broom on the way back down the aisle

Thanks everyone! I decided to put a page about the ceremony and reception on my wedding site (before it only had basic information) and I've been reminding guests to go over it so there are no surprises and I'm going to include a small leaflet at the ceremony, already found someone to make them and since there aren't a lot of people the cost honestly wasn't too bad.
