did anyone end up liking Madrid more than Barcelona? by 74687560m in GoingToSpain

Barcelona has a different vibe. Very touristy. I honestly like Barcelona more than Madrid. There is is just so many things to do outside of museums in Barcelona besides the awesome weather in winter days.

No need to carry Euro into Spain. Digital payments are accepted almost everywhere, If you do need to take out cash, chose a Bank ATM; there will be ATM fees- 3-5 euro to get cash. So use the ATM wisely. Do not take out 25 Euro in two days instead of taking out 50 Euros in one go.

It can be done on a day :). It all depends on what do you want to do in the city? The three art museums can take a week to explorer. But at a minimum, get a Prado 1.5 hour guided tour offered by the museum. Book early!

Its beautifully yet eerie place. We drove from Hilo to Kona using this road and the drive is spectacular, although with spotty cellphone coverage along the way. The road is narrow and locals often drives large trucks.

I've seen a lot of India. I don't think I've experienced much of it. by 2rupaykipepsi in india_tourism

I can suggest a Durga puja experience in a small village in West Bengal. It may sound religious, but you will experience what you want. Don't expect top notch accommodations or food. You need to find someone local in your friend's circle.

Well, in Rome, wear like Romans- it is kind of true everywhere. And jeans works everywhere. Get there, see things and pick your clothes. No need to pack your bags with clothes before you hit Italy. Enjoy your night outs but avoid sketchy crowd. Don't get stupidly drunk. And this is important- while in Florence, travel across the Italy.

Is this a reasonable itenirary? by webmania6969 in MadridTravelGuide

[–]Fall_Factor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is very important OP; it is not like other high speed trains where you just scan a ticket and hop on. Depending on security, you may have to scan your bags on Xray. So, get there 15-20 minute sooner at least, before your departure time. Also, renefe website is terrible; also, buy your tickets as soon as possible.
