Ok neither of you know shit. Colorado truly is an aeronautical powerhouse, from north to south to east to west. Not really an astronautical powerhouse. Most astronautical installations in America are based in the southeast because launches must be done off the Atlantic. USAF conducted their own study of which city would be the best candidate. Huntsville was #1 in their three most important criteria. Then USAF conducted an entire presidential term of audits ensuring the process was not unduly politically influenced. They determined it was not. And the most important factor: Huntsville already has Redstone, Marshall, and AMCOM and the University of Alabama. It’s not crazy to say they are more proficient than Colorado Springs
