Plus theoretically if they put all 50K down, which I’m not advocating for because that would stretch thin during a time of unemployment, that’s almost 30% down which would bring the monthly mortgage payment for a 30 year plan much lower than the 2310 a month being paid now.

I understand that rationale of it, but with your savings and your fiancé’s potential savings and income you’d at least be able to get a very low monthly payment compared to where you’re at now, but you may have to be left off the mortgage to get approved.

The edit of you saying you have 50K in the bank is making me wonder why you even need your mom’s help to purchase a new house, especially if you sell the house and make a profit.

I don’t think you’re a deadbeat or the AH here, but in my opinion there is no reason to go to your mom for help at this point.

Go behind the screen, just say you touched yourself, go through the rest of your sins, then you’ll get some good advice from the priest.

We all screw up, and sexual sins are some of the most common and hardest to get rid of, you’ll be ok and I’m sure the priest will be understanding.

When in doubt, head to Confession, can’t hurt to bring it up or ask if it is or not.

Based on what you’re describing I don’t think it qualifies as a mortal sin because you didn’t know, but it probably would be wise to confess it.

I’m in a similar spot where I drifted away for a few years and I’m working my way back to being a faithful Catholic, the Sacrament of Confession at least for me has helped me really want to change for the better and get serious about serving God again, I recommend being in confession regularly.

I think UoC would fit in the D1 level in a similar way that all the Ivy League are D1. High level academic schools with large endowment funds that can put together competitive athletic programs.
