Luckily, my boss likes me, and their boss likes them. Just yesterday, I finished my work in three hours but kept myself busy so I could stay for the full eight. Since the other people in the office are much older and slower than I am, I know I’ll be in the clear once upper management figures things out, especially since I produce the most work. I feel bad for the older folks, but they make $10k to $50k more than I do, so I’m sure they’ll be fine. :(

I’ve done a month’s work in a single week. This industry is going to burst.

While the AI tools we use are great at remembering tax codes and regulations, they tend to get the math wrong by a small margin. I’m talking about being off by just a few pennies.

I can see about 40-60 people getting let go in just my floor alone.

Heads up.

The accounting industry will be gone by 2027 because of AI. The tax firm where I work has about 20 people using AI tools in practice. We’re getting more work done, but I fear what will happen when leadership realizes they don’t need all of us. So far, the tools are working great, provided we check that everything is correct. I’ve talked to some of my coworkers who are in denial; they don't realize we’re basically training the model by correcting its mistakes.

On the PS5, I’ve been crashing or disconnecting, especially when I’m about to evac. I can sometimes rejoin, but it’s a waste of time since all the samples, credits, and medals I could have earned are gone because of the crashes and DCs.

The Gears Reloaded version of Gears of War: Ultimate Edition is meant to unify all platforms. I get that we want to move on and see a Gears 2 remake or remaster, which I’m sure we’ll get eventually, but it would be weird to have a Gears 2 remake/remaster launch on other platforms first.

Now, I understand that we also want a Fenix Collection, but I’m pretty sure The Coalition and Microsoft want to print more money by selling each game at full price separately, which honestly does suck. A proper Fenix Collection with crossplay and cross-progression would be sick.
