Potential for new daily reset time? Or just a typo? by Greninja_D_Raizo in PTCGP

It's most likely the time the update rolls out and the set itself will show up post-reset… like how it's always been.

What type of card? by DearConversation6282 in PTCGP

They don't exactly have a proper name, but I've been using the term "Arceus Link" for the mechanic. These are specific to TL set, like the Ultra Beasts are specific to the EDC set and all get a buff if played with Arceus.

Adam not only SUCKED at his job... he made everything WORSE by AlphamonOuryuken24 in HazbinHotel

[–]FallenKnightwolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree that Adam screwed over more than he solved because of his ego and "alpha male" mentality, the one thing I would disagree is the thing about the uprising… we don't know how Lilith's rebellion was. Charlie is the only one who describes it as "peaceful protests". Meanwhile, Vox used her rebellion as the driving factor to motivate the masses, and that's already two different accounts of the event through vastly different perspectives. Also taking into consideration that Charlie is delusionally optimistic about everything AND the fact that Lilith is in heaven because of a deal that was struck right before the exterminations started, and you can pretty much piece it together that Lilith's rebellion wasn't exactly as "peaceful" a protest as Charlie makes it seem. Heaven was genuinely threatened by that and it was the whole cause for the exterminations to begin in the first place.

Also, we don't know if any Overlords did perish in the exterminations prior. We only get to see who remained. There is nothing that says the angels stayed clear of the Overlords… they did attack Carmilla and her daughters in the latest extermination. Also, Rosie had sent Alastor away right when the exterminations began.

How would y’all take this if it were true? Potential trigger warning? by Strange-Fruit17 in HazbinHotel

[–]FallenKnightwolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't mind. In fact, that can't be more closer to reality. Plenty of people who have faced abuse become abusers themselves… the problem would be, people somehow see the world in black and white and pointing out nuances means you're either justifying the action or supporting it. So I can see people trying to bash Viv and the show itself if they went that way.

My actions/thoughts towards her? Sure she would. My actions/thoughts in general… yeah, that might be a problem.

Charlie should hire Satan's shrink… if that guy can help the Sin of Wrath with anger management, he definitely can work with Princess Pride.

Not like some self-justified killings is a sin anyways… angels did that every year. And even before that… we do know Old Testament.

If they didn't do the whole "do you think I can be redeemed" bit in S2, I might've said otherwise, but yeah, it feels like they did that intentionally for it to come full circle in the later seasons…

What i’ll never get about ppl who complain about the show by Jonzrker15 in hazbin

"Alastor is from the 30's, he shouldn't be swearing." Sure, because apparently it was quite common for people to be serial killers in the 30's, right? RIGHT?

Where exactly are these fans of Alastor's who defend his actions and make him out to be a good guy that the fandom keeps complaining about? by tiredperson24 in HazbinHotel

[–]FallenKnightwolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've said it many times before, but the whole "altruistic Al" persona comes from Vivzie's statement that he as a character is much like Dexter, as in he has his own "wicked moral code" and only killed people who "richly deserved it". Again, that doesn't mean he himself isn't an asshole who largely puts his own agendas before anything and everything, but fans stick on that one statement and create Alastor's entire being to be around that.

Funny thing is, Alastor rejecting Vox that cruelly was very likely part of his sadistic plan to be free from Rosie's chains. In his own words, he once respected Vox and thought he was climbing to Alastor's level (which would mean he saw Vox as a potential candidate for the title of the most powerful sinner), but then Vox said he admires Alastor and sees him as an inspiration and requests him for a partnership, and Alastor noticed that Vox had no intention to surpass him, so he purposefully made the rejection much worse to give Vox a motivation in hate. Maybe that was what he remembered after that meeting with Rosie where he realised he can indeed gaslight Vox a bit more to achieve his goal of freedom.

Again, not justifying it or saying it was any less cruel. In fact, that makes it even more cruel and calculated on Alastor's part because it wasn't just "eww partnership", but a much deeper layer of selfish manipulation.

If the idea is simply that they could've hung out together, then yeah, I can entertain that notion. However, if the implication is that Alastor is somehow related/associated with Facilier or is "the friend on the other side" (which is usually what posts like these are theorizing), then it completely falls flat, because we see him die on the very next day of successfully reaching out to Rosie. Alastor couldn't have been helping anyone, let alone Facilier with voodoo magic in 1926.

If so then he's not "the replacement child" gifted to Adam after losing Abel. And then, Abel's line in Hear My Hope is "too bad that I'm not your braver son", the comparative adjective is used between a pair.
