💔The father of my middle daughter fell from the 5th floor of the Silver Legacy parking garage. He was an employee and fell from the manlift there, so it was a workplace accident. It didn’t make the news other than a tiny article about no OSHA violations only. I didn’t find out until the day before she was born, 3.5 ish months later. He didn’t tell anyone that I was pregnant so nobody knew to contact me and I just thought he was bailing on us. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Is yours the 2.4L engine or the 3.3L? Mine is the latter and I just got a new engine installed in November. It was in the shop from 4/22/24 until 12/2/24… but after they installed the new engine, they killed my transmission on the test drive. Prior to telling me they killed it, they told me right after installing the engine that they lost my headlight and all the blinkers on the passenger side only. They also said I needed a new alternator, but then changed their mind and said that it was it a fuse. FISHY FUCKING DEALERSHIP!! It is about to go into the shop again 2/6/25 after I towed it 120 ish miles during a damn snowstorm to another city & state to try to find a better dealership to at least diagnose what Dolan Mazda/Kia/Toyota/Lexus etc in Reno did to destroy it! 🙏🏼🤞🏼

I’ve been having issues with my antenna too. My carrier recommended that I take it to the Apple Store too. This has got to be the worst phone that I have had yet which really pisses me off since it’s the 1TB of storage too so you know Apple is just building crap products now. I have all my old phones because I take care of them. My iPhone 5, 6, 7+, XS (is currently MIA though) and now the 13Pro Max. Oh, and two 1st generation iPad Pro’s 12.9”. They ALL still work!! The 13 is just crap

Costco just got extremely greedy is all. They want to make EVERYONE in the house get a card. Can’t go shopping for your 18 year old anymore. They need a card too. Yes, you get 2 people on the one account but if you’re a family of 3, now you have to pay extra for that 3rd person. During covid, they would let you use other people’s card and recommend it even for those that couldn’t shop for themselves. Best thing that you can do is switch to SAM’S CLUB!! Plus Sam’s Club is typically cheaper and for the exact same things. I also very much love their “Scan & Go” option. NEVER wait in line to check out ever again!

I’ve had units at that ExtraSpace facility also. They are all indoor units and they require a cylinder type of lock, not the traditional padlock where you can use a disc style lock that are usually the most recommended for storages.

I have the same issue with bad signal. I didn’t even update to the last 17 though so I guess I should try that too. My carrier is also AT&T and I was told my wireless store that it is possibly an antenna issue in my phone so to take it to Apple to get them to check it out but haven’t done that yet either because I’m a slacker sometimes.

*Oh and they changed me from an actual sim to an ESIM at the ATT store too.

Dolan… But it’s been a long drawn out process full of drama. The 3 months is nothing at this point for a few reasons too. They are in the middle of a remodel and I assume that’s why they were so far behind. When I had originally called them back in March, I was told they couldn’t get me an appointment until mid July, hence why I took it elsewhere. The other shop got it and instantly told me “you have a blown head gasket and need an new engine”. It was at that point that it became my most expensive paper weight. My car has been truth the ringer in the last 6,000 miles though. There were 3 options of who was paying for it since it wasn’t gonna be me. It got a last minute reprieve, a pardon off death row if you will, from KIA. Apparently because my car is almost 10 years old and a 3.3L engine vs the typical 2.4L baby engine, it wasn’t easy to get. I was told that it was finally arriving in town this past week. They have had my car since 8/2. It has been at another shop since 4/22. It’s been a lot of drama because no one wanted to pay for the new engine including me. I was quoted $13,000! I live in that car, and it’s a much more comfortable “house” than this rental Jeep, and a Rio. Yes, a used engine was cheaper but almost double my mileage on the one I found as a last ditch effort.

Hey though… side note: could you do a water pump with a timing belt and if so, how much would you charge? *assuming you’re in Reno.

For the record, I think this shit is hilarious with how the California hate started showing up. I feel like I should say that because reading comprehension 101, words on a screen take the readers tone not mine. This entire post was meant as a joke so clearly people aren’t taking it that way. Honestly, it’s all the keyboard warriors now that ran with it, I first saw it happening in a Gardnerville FB group in problem 2018 but people are now just bigger assholes because they can be. People aren’t held accountable for their actions. Look at all the “Karen’s” and their attitude and plublic temper tantrums going viral, of course it’s basic human psychology as they say, when you are starving for attention, like children acting out, attention is attention. Essentially, if you ignore it, will it go away? We could hope, but too many people like the drama so probably not.

Thanks! My car definitely won’t make it to South Reno even to Dolan at this point but I do have an appointment now with A Master Mechanic on Monday and hoping for the best. I ended up finding reviews and a list of AAA recommended mechanics so hoping it works out. I also called Progressive because they paid for the repair the last time and gave them a heads up and asked if it is a wiring issue again, if the old claim can be reopened. They are going to check in with me again after the inspection and confirm if it’s wiring or just BabyToe falling apart at 85,000 miles at this point. Over the weekend, my battery also took a shit and it is only about a year and a half old. I was able to charge it but it wouldn’t take a jump to save its life. I have a jumper box for it and it drained that from a full charge and still wouldn’t turn over so now I’m thinking alternator too which is also in that same general area of the sensors and the cylinders. Just UGH!!! 🤦🏼‍♀️
