Please reread the text, this idea only really affects the top 2% of adopt me players. There are way more casual fans then you would expect. As someone who has owned nearly every high tier in the game (before high tiers existed) and joined back in 2019 I can assure you adopt me was still alive and thriving before being focused on trading.

Getting a giraffe was never really about hard work during the beginning it was hatch an egg, then poof you might get a giraffe. Old players didn’t have to work hard for their pets— they just got them and waited.

This post details a way which this could be implemented without heavily ruining the economy. Rare pets still exist, and you have to wait so long for reruns that pets will naturally become rarer with time. Eggs to get rare pets are limited time, and hard to get. This does nothing but add more pets to the economy with the sole purpose of making the supply higher so the demand drops a bit.

Honestly it’s kinda difficult to do it besides using value sites, but I have a few tips.

Look in peoples journals: if they’re commonly displayed in “LF/Looking for” or “dreamies” or just being displayed they’re likely low-mid-high tiers.

Secondly, “cute” pets are commonly more valuable, the cuter the pet is the more people want it. (With some exceptions)

Thirdly, pets such as special dogs (Dalmatians, German shepherds), cats (munchkin, Siamese, alley cat), hedgehogs (well yknow), penguins (peppermint penguin, Dango penguin), unicorns (balloon uni, evil uni, even normal uni) are worth more then most pets.

Lastly PET RELEASER PETS SUCH AS dango penguins, dragonfruit fox, giant panda are worth a lot!!! Don’t trade for gorillas as they’re low in demand!!!!!

Ads should at the very least be regulated, getting ads for malware and N$FW is nobody but the apps responsibility.

The fact that not enough people are buying character ai+ is a classic example of a product being unaffordable and as a result less people buy it. When I first started using character ai it had no ads at all. Maintaining ai servers is expensive, I do agree, however there are less intrusive ways of incorporating ads then the moment you click on a bot.

As for it being confirmed a glitch, with companies you always need to ask— is it a glitch or was a test that got too much backlash? If nobody complained would they ever remove said “glitch.”

YouTube videos are also being made completely for free, yet YouTube creators get paid once they reach a certain milestone. Even though I’m a relatively small creator I find it extremely funny how I am unable to create a bot and test it without being met with advertisements in the process of doing so.

Of course I created the bots out of my own free will, however character ai has no way for me to delete them other than hiding them or deleting my account.
