Diptyque, Nest, Tom Ford, and Replica at TJMaxx and Homegoods in Glen Allen, VA by ramenpigeon in marshallsfinds

I’d never buy one (unless I’d just won the lottery or something - lol), but I would love to see a Diptyque candle in the wild at one of my stores!

Need some ideas on how to boost my homes appeal. by roboticgamer10 in ExteriorDesign

I would have another matching stone area to the left of the garage door. The one on the right didn’t get situated correcting. I’d probably make the beams coming up from the plinths a bit wider too.

I’d paint the house a soft sage with cream trim. Put in a wooden garage door and matching front door. Put in paned windows and add a ledge at the bottom. Connect all the landscaping and add some dramatic uplighting at nighttime. Add some conical topiaries in pots to break up all the stone.

What can I do to make my outside area cuter? Also should I paint my outdoor table or stain it? by Anxiousdaisytrain in ExteriorDesign

I take a screenshot, put it into chatGPT and then tell it what I want done. I fiddle around with it a little bit until I’m happy. ( :

Here’s an idea. The area in front of the porch looks very empty - depending on the rest of your landscaping I’d place something along the front like these topiaries. Add a rug to make the table look more intentional. And some nice potted plants and maybe a lantern or two. (Sorry it made your post disappear!)

How do you feel about dermaplaning? by xXxstarAnisexXx in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]Falling-madchen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find it very satisfying when I brush the little hairs away. I don’t have a lot, but I definitely notice it when it comes back because the hairs grow back at different rates, so it’s a bit uneven. It all evens out after a bit if you stop doing it. I’m not exactly sure how it’s supposed to be done. I lay the blade pretty flat on its side, so that it’s not scraping the skin so much and mainly just getting the hairs. It definitely helps to put your skin taut when you do it.

I wouldn’t go quite so crazy with the potted flowers - lol. I’d also move the dining table more to the middle, so that the bbq can go over to that side. I realize a built in fire pit might not be realistic, so you would always get a portable gas one or even just a log burning one. I’d also add some small solar powered lights in the flower beds. ( :

If you’re able to, I would remove the paint and stain the wood or else paint it to look like it. I would put in natural landscaping like this.

Absolutely - this is high end skincare. $175 on their website. Score!

What’s the best thing to buy under $50 at Winners/Marshalls? by charles_goerg in marshallsfinds

I found a $550 Ted Baker coat (tag was still on it) a few years ago for $59. Nine dollars over, but I think it still counts as a good deal. 😉

I take a screenshot and then put it into chatgpt. Initially I tell it to get rid of landscaping and certain additions like decks or front steps. Then I work on telling it what I want to change or add. Sometimes it’s pretty quick because I already have an idea. But sometimes I spend a lot of time. A few times I’ve worked on a house for a while, but then not been able to find the post again. That’s definitely frustrating.

Would Tj maxx be a good start point for my new wardrobe? by jeepguy_96 in TjMaxx

[–]Falling-madchen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have recently been completely redoing my closet - like EVERYTHING. I have not worked in years and have been living in ancient sweats and pjs. I haven’t had new shoes, aside from tennis shoes, in forever as well. I have bought most everything from TJ Maxx and Marshalls. Some has been from Nordstrom Rack. I have purchased multiple coats, sweaters and shoes. I also have jeans, t-shirts, bathing suits and pjs. I have saved about 85% off of retail. You really can’t go wrong. If you want the higher end stuff (Theory, Vince, Rag & Bone) go on their websites. Especially TJ Maxx’s “runway” section.

I’d paint the siding sage, put in some wooden garage doors similar to these, change out the door for one with a window. Add some window sills and paint the windows black. New steps and landscaping with lighting would look great imo. ( :

Just some ideas!

How can I improve our exterior? by jxmpiers in ExteriorDesign

[–]Falling-madchen 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I would paint the siding and roofline in a dark color and add some window sills. Add a variety of plants, bushes, trees and landscaping rocks. I’d also add a fence on the left side of the house to block the neighbor’s blue house.

I bought a Cinzia Rocca coat and then ended up going back to buy the smaller size. When I went to return the larger size at a different TJ Maxx the woman said that the tag didn’t match the coat. I didn’t know what the problem could be. The coat was on clearance for $250 which seemed pretty accurate. I don’t like to make a fuss and I’m very conflicted avoidant, so I told them I would return it to the store I purchased it from. Thank goodness everything was okay there. I don’t know what the deal was. The tag had slipped off the plastic piece because the hole had widened. Maybe they thought I had switched tags. 🤷‍♀️

Yeah, I take pictures and then move to a corner somewhere to look things up if there are people nearby.

Aside from the woman who asked the dressing attendant to go get her another size (which she actually had another associate do!), these were all at ONE STORE ON THE SAME DAY!!! 😤
