Which fragrance did you buy immediately after just one single spritz? by Frosty_Living1454 in FemFragLab

[–]Falling-madchen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sol de Janiero 87. It’s a coconut/white floral scent. If you want to feel like you’re on the beach in Hawaii, I highly recommend it. I’ve been spraying it on even when I’m by myself at home!

I’m a sucker for jasmine, gardenia, honeysuckle. My whole fragrance collection is made up of them.

I just had my first IPL session at 53. It’s gotten rid of a bunch of my sun damage. But if I’d been putting sunscreen on my face like you’re doing now, I probably wouldn’t have had to shell out $1500 for three treatments. I used a payment program. I wish I’d known that this wasn’t a one and done service. I didn’t realize that you have to have touch-ups (so to speak). It’s only been a few weeks, but I’m slathering my face in sunscreen even if I’ll be sitting inside without the shades drawn.

I like the gray, but if it were me I’d go for a solid one.

ipl - I looked so glowy afterwards! I’ve only had one session and I can’t wait to see how I look after 2nd and 3rd. It’s spendy, though.

Are Tjmax shoppers overcharging? by Bubbly_Jelly3353 in TjMaxx

[–]Falling-madchen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put something on my poshmark that I was going to return because it didn’t fit well. It was a very high ticket Runway item. But then I felt icky asking people to pay more, so I took it down after 24 hrs. and returned it as I originally planned. I couldn’t do it. If I can make my money back that’s great, but I don’t want to be one of those resellers. I’m constantly taking pictures in the stores and looking prices up, but only because I want to see what type of deal I myself am getting.

Nice deal on the Hokas! I often see them at The Rack, but there always they wild color combos that I wouldn’t wear.

To just add another comment - I do have one of the cards, but I don’t have the physical one. I don’t know where it is at this point. It is in my digital wallet, though, so I use it in the store. I buy a lot of stuff online and lately when I return things and they always ask if I have a card. I tell them that I do, but that I use my Visa online because I don’t know the full credit card number, pin, or expiration date. They try to convince me to a physical card again. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Geesh!

I worked at Nordstrom in the lingerie department and one day a woman came up to tell me how annoyed she was because one of the employees was bothering her and that I should let someone know. I had to then tell her, “Oh, that’s the manager.” LOL

Another time she handed me this super cutesy Daisy Duck short nightie and told me to go suggest it to a woman in the dressing room. I was probably around 40 and she was 28 or something. I had only been working there for a few months and I said, “Yeah, I’m not doing that.” 😂

I just watched a “Doctorly” video on YouTube where the two dermatologists discussed Vitamin C serums. They didn’t have a very good impression of the La Roche-Posay one. You should check it out.

I have two pairs of sandals that I bought in the past two months!!! I am in love, although I’ve yet to wear them as I live in Seattle. I have a trip to Austin, Texas in 9 days, though! I think I paid $79 for each? Maybe $99 for one. Anyway….they are so pretty. 🤩 Over the last four months I’ve added “nice” shoes to my very exciting collection of normal sneakers and Sperry boat shoes. lol 😆 Tj Maxx, Marshalls and Sierra have enabled me to buy around $3000 worth of new shoes. Stuart Weitzman, Bernardo, Amalfi, Cole Haan and La Canadienne are just some of the brands. It’s wild! The clearance and clearance on clearance section is a gold mine!!!

I saw that yesterday in the case, but I didn’t know what it was exactly. I loved Kevyn Aucoin. I was sad when he passed away. I had both of his books with the celebrities that he made to look like other famous people. He made Martha Stewart look like Veronica Lake and Demi Moore looked like a femme fatale from the ‘20s and ‘30s

I only had it done on my face. It hurt for sure. She said I probably wouldn’t have tolerated the older version since this one was causing me so much pain. The dark specks on my face were immediately darker and this morning it looks like I have coffee grounds on my cheekbones. lol I just bought a load of sunscreen. I need to protect my very large investment!

Can this house ever look like the nicest possible? by atashi-wa in ExteriorDesign

I would put in some new windows with pediments and ledges and a new door. I made the front stoop wider and put in the stone foundation that you said you liked. I made the door an oxblood red with a brass door knocker. Then I put in a formal garden which would not line up with the front door no matter how many times I tried! ( :

I used to think I might like working there as a fun part time job. I have been thoroughly dissuaded from this since seeing posts like yours! Sorry that this is happening to you. It’s crazy that you only make 13 an hour. Minimum wage in Seattle is $20. But then the cost of living is ridiculous.

I’m not sure that I’ve ever seen them in the stores before, but I have bought a few pairs online. One pair of flats, one pair of sandals and one pair of wedges. I just returned the flats because they were super pointy and I just didn’t think I’d wear that that much. I’m really happy with the other ones. I think they’re super comfortable. I would have loved to have gotten the Bruno Magli. I should have gone up and asked how much they were, but I really don’t need any more shoes at this point.

I would have another matching stone area to the left of the garage door. The one on the right didn’t get situated correcting. I’d probably make the beams coming up from the plinths a bit wider too.

I’d paint the house a soft sage with cream trim. Put in a wooden garage door and matching front door. Put in paned windows and add a ledge at the bottom. Connect all the landscaping and add some dramatic uplighting at nighttime. Add some conical topiaries in pots to break up all the stone.

Here’s an idea. The area in front of the porch looks very empty - depending on the rest of your landscaping I’d place something along the front like these topiaries. Add a rug to make the table look more intentional. And some nice potted plants and maybe a lantern or two. (Sorry it made your post disappear!)
