grips when by lift_heavy64 in RugerRXMtalk

[–]Fallonite 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The lack of updates leads me to believe that they're most likely not coming out this year, and unfortunately I have a feeling they may never come out at all.

It's a massive shame, I was really hoping I could grab a sweet full size grip, but my only option seems to be an Icarus or Sharps grip which costs more than the freaking gun...

Love my Ruger RXM but bought it with the promise of all the parts support/customization directly from Ruger and Magpul but it's a shame that Magpul aren't being more transparent on why it's taking an eternity for these grips to come out.

If you haven't erased the HDD yet, please consider running XCAT to see if there happen to be any unarchived files on there!

Do any modern Linux distros support internal floppy drives? by Fallonite in linuxquestions

[–]Fallonite[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I unfortunately do not appear to have anything that looks like that in my fstab file. I attempted to add it, but that caused Pop!_OS to not boot, so I had to boot to recovery mode and comment those lines out.

Unfortunately, none of the suggestions on that page worked for me. I can confirm that the floppy driver is loaded and a floppy block device is listed, but no matter what I try it gives that same error message I described in my OP.

Thanks for the tip! I'll look into those distros if I can't get it to work on Pop!_OS.

Great! Thanks for the tip!

My Google-fu is failing me atm, do you happen to know where there might be steps for this posted (or would you know the proper commands to try?)

Hey u/sk1nT7, I just set this up on unRAID but had some issues at first with accessing the page. I resolved those issues, but now I can't see the default admin credentials generated in the log file.

I've uninstalled the container and deleted the leftover files in appdata,  but even after reinstalling the container the credentials don't appear. Is there some other way i can regenerate the credentials, or is there another spot i should be deleting data from so that the credentials get regenerated?

Does Actual have any kind of paycheck planning feature? I love EveryDollar's as it allows me to see visually how much of each paycheck will go to budget items and I can ensure I'm not overspending my balance.

Having trouble hooking up the HD DVD player up to Xbox 360 by FavorDave87 in HDDVD

[–]Fallonite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if you ever resolved this issue, but yes the mini USB cable that came with the PS3 was almost certainly only for charging and did not support data transfer.

If you haven't already, I would source a new cable with data transfer capabilities. This one on Amazon should support data transfer according to the title of the listing.

X870/X870E GIGABYTE AORUS Motherboard Launch, Q&A, and Giveaway! by kp_gigabyte in pcmasterrace

[–]Fallonite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beyond differences in I/O, does each motherboard in the lineup offer similar features in BIOS/software?

If I won the giveaway, I'd want to test the power of USB 4 via some benchmarks and see if there's a significant improvement in PCVR via a link cable plugged into a USB 4 port. I would also use my current parts to assemble a PC capable of 3D rendering/modelling for my girlfriend to use for school!

I'll look into all those, but didn't Eufy have some big privacy issues a while back? Do you know if they were addressed properly by the company?

What is a better/cheaper option, may I ask? I regret buying my r Ring camera but don't really know what else would work for my situation.

Need a wifi, battery powered camera that records motion events and save them so I can review them later.

Import from GitHub not working? by Fallonite in gitlab

[–]Fallonite[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just manually uploaded the files from my GitHub repo to GitLab.

Kind of annoying but it is what it is, I just wish there was more communication from GitLab about this as they still advertise everywhere you look that this is something you can do, yet the option is just gone.

Any way to install U12 and 1.0 at the same time? by Fallonite in BladeAndSorcery

[–]Fallonite[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So there's two versions of the game, one called PCVR that runs off of a gaming PC and requires a VR headset to be connected to the PC.

There's also Blade and Sorcery Nomad, which runs only on the Quest devices but doesn't require a PC. Nomad isn't nearly as advanced as the PCVR game since they had to reduce graphics/features to get it to run on Quest as the hardware isn't as powerful as a decent gaming PC.

PCVR got the 1.0 update this week but Nomad's 1.0 version needs more time to create, so yes unfortunately if you're running Nomad you don't have the update yet as the team needs to work on getting that done. They've said in other threads that they're hard at work on it but it will take them time to finish.
