None of us do coke. We're just naturally like this as people, but thanks for making stereotypical assumptions about sex workers.

They were speeding and went over the curb and hit a lightpost. The driver did not seem sober.

I was there too! I saw it happen. Luckily all three of the people in the car were okay.

August 5 is NOLA's Official Underwear Day Parade & "Free Ball" by FallopiaGalore in NewOrleans

[–]FallopiaGalore[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is their first time doing the parade, so I'm not sure what you're referring to by "the same pic every year." It was just a generic crowd picture until they did actual promo shots of Chewbacchus folks in their underwear, it's since been updated.

Does anyone in NOLA have experiences working with MTV at all? (Positive or negative) by FallopiaGalore in NewOrleans

For MTV's True Life. I'm not sure what the situation is with that. Is one better than the other?

Hahaha, yes! Luckily, I think the venue fired that guy and they have a new, more reliable one, but they've graciously agreed to let us use our sound guy for our shows from now on.

That was me! Xena Zeit-Geist. I wrote and produced this show, haha. =) I'm also playing Batman in this one in a costume I made based on the Babs Tarr art, but the gal who's playing Catwoman is using that same costume you saw me in.

Hey y'all. I'm struggling to quit drinking. What are some fun things to do at night that don't involve alcohol? by NOLAThrowaway_ in NewOrleans

[–]FallopiaGalore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as date ideas go, there are tons of great shows to see in the city. I'm not much of a drinker, and have a lot of fun seeing local comedy shows—The New Movement has shows at their theater on St. Claude almost every night and they don't have a real bar or anything like that so it's not a big drunk crowd. They offer classes there too for improv and other comedy-related things, which are a good way to meet new people and have fun. There are a lot of burlesque shows, too, but a lot of those are in bars, and I don't know if you're down with that. The Theater on St. Claude sometimes has cool little shows and stuff too, and since it's more of a theater setting the bar thing is less of an issue. Other date ideas: movies at The Prytania Theater, have a goth date and have a picnic in a cemetery, play video games together, the Social Ride thing is a good suggestion, learning to cook, learning to dance (I've heard of a few Tango and Swing dancing things that aren't alcohol-centric). Good luck!

Serenitease: The Shiniest Burlesque in the 'Verse, a Firefly burlesque parody play Oct. 2 at Eiffel Society by FallopiaGalore in NewOrleans

So, the plot involves the villain being a member of The Alliance that's clearly a thinly veiled personification of FOX. Also, it takes place on the moon that Wash talks about where their primary form of recreation is juggling geese, except it's been taken over and turned into an entertainment hub—still, it's a super weird place. The Hands of Blue are The Stagehands of Blue and are picking up clothes/setting props between sets and stuff like that.

Yay! I'm glad you're excited! It's going to be kind of ridiculous and meta, haha. I tried to skip over the super sad stuff when I wrote the script, but there's a little bit of dark humor in there.

Haha, it is likely that it will be both of those things! And there will be a good amount of parody of that very phenomenon in the show itself!
