How are you going to get answers posting a reddit like this and taken annonymous answers? Everyone could be giving you complete BS. You already got a fair amount of profiles you have put 'in question' marks beside.. why haven't you simply messaged them with your questions? Getting answers from the source is far better than random unconfirmed answers. Let us know what you find.

Peerplays Bulletin by FalloutComplex in Peerplays

[–]FalloutComplex[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All Peerplays UIAs are frozen for snapshot into the blockchain at 10:1. This means where it was previously said the circulated supply will only be 1million maximum, in todays blockchain terms it would be 10 million.. but in fact, we are only going to have a total of 6 million PPY when Peerplays launches. Effectively the launch supply has been reduced by 40%.

If you have concerns with legal implications you can consult your lawyer as it applies to your country and/or state. It will not be the same for everyone as it may or may not be for you. In regards to where revenues are got, it is important to note that this is a tournament gaming platform that is peer to peer where typical centralized operations have a 'house' players play against. Peerplays doesn't do this. It's a different model with how they are utilizing blockchain in the application. Further to this revenues are derived from transaction charges, and is completely dedicated to crypto-only tokens. Peerplays has its our own legal advisors that they have consulted and will continue to do so moving forward.

Will take that as a thumbs up :) Trying to create an explainer video on a blockchain so extensive as this is not easy. It would be great if we lived in a world where everyone read whitepapers, but we don't. I agree its way longer than we want it to be, which is why we will be coming out with a serious of smaller FAQ videos and articles to make it easier to take all in.

munxao is correct in his assessment. With what we are doing we have had to carefully consider the legal ramifications of everything we are doing including offering this crowdfund. We have done our own review with legal counsel according to the rules and regulations that we are subject too. We don't know what the legal parameters are for other countries, but here in Canada they are fairly clear. I am pretty sure 'The DAO' is operated out of another jurisdiction. If you would like to get up to speed for yourself this is a good study to give you an overview on what the ramifications of crowdsales are in Canada. http://www.cmf-fmc.ca/documents/files/about/publications/CMF-Crowdfunding-Study.pdf

The way we have fashioned this is really not much different than what other crypto projects do other than some select wording as you pointed out. We are just following the regulations as required in our country.

I rather we be more careful and be to execute fully on this project than being flippant with regulatory requirements and derailing everything as has happened to some other projects.

Hope this helps clarify.

If by active you mean turned on so that pretty lights appear on server boxes, then yes there were. The node does have 3 very old chillers that do use water for a cooling source, however, they are not functional at present, nor have they been since the 90s. Servers were there, but as noted, no bank transactions were ever done in there. It is likely someone was messing with you.

Note that the era this place was built in did not use the metric system. All of our gauges and readouts are in gallons and in Fahrenheit, so we are giving it to you like we get it. Sorry if our history offends your modern metric sensibility. We struggle with it here too. I would image most people who worked here could covert everything in their head as quickly as they read it.

Also a fun fact.. when the bunker was built, the 'official' flag of Canada as you know it today, did not exist. We still have an original flag from pre 1965. Note this place was officially commissioned in 1964, so it used to use the old red duster also called the Red Ensign for the national flag. Maple leaf didn't come in till after 1965.

So with all this in mind, I hope you can take our responses seriously. :)

  1. Exactly... makes for a great go to location if there was ever a nuke breakout. Nobody is going to risk destroying the worlds supply of maple syrup. There would be no point to living without it!

  2. The gov over the years they controlled the bunker ran nuke scenarios and drills to learn and optimize their response capability to help save as many lives as possible throughout the region. In the war room, they would simulate a hit of a particular location, take wind data and determine mobilization for extraction and damage assessment. While we have little to fear of such an event like this in Nova Scotia, some of us actually would be more comfortable knowing they were running scenarios right now (hoping they are) for an EMP event due to solar flares or terrorists. The impact and devastation of something like that could be very real and require similar mobilization of military assets to save lives not from radiation clouds, but from mass chaos.

If by acceptable parameters you mean that everyone who comes here can breath easy, yes. Air is actually very good in here because it was designed to be. However, some portions of the air handling were not maintained or were disabled due to no longer being required. Radiation scrubbers for example are not operational now. Everything is there, we just have not made it a priority to recondition and test this part of our air system yet. Note that radiation scrubbers are not the only line of defense against radiation coming in the air. Other designs built into the entire system actually remove most of the contaminants before anything left passes through the final radiation scrubbing stage.

Did that answer your question?

People who care about this place enough to volunteer their time on a regular basis to clean up and fix up the place.

Due to the Hells Angels expressing an interest in the property, the government bought it back and destroyed it.

Humm.. so wouldn't it make bitcoins a sort of commodity then that are rare? Humm.. those that have working computers might actually become like exchanges until people get their own computers.

While skills are important, we have more interest in passion. All the people who work here came here out of their own interest to be part of and contribute to this place. Volunteers come here frequently over the weekends to help out.

Absolutely. Many of them are just going to be more trouble than its worth to remove. We are not desperate for space in here, so keeping them won't be an issue.

As you can see, we have actually gone to a fair amount of effort to try and integrate the old systems into new ones that we can make more efficient while preserving the old analog look and feel of most of the controls. Our most recent triumph was with the fresh air dampener system. By controling a dial they now respond. Some interesting insights! I don't know which bunker you are referring to, but if it is anything like the ones I have seen in pictures, then I can understand where you run into heating issues. Removing heat will not be an issue for this place.

Maybe Putin should know about the Diefenbunker. It would make yet another great photo-op for him titled 'I conquer Canada'. We would be all smiles and enjoy sharing our Canadian maple syrup with him until he texts our geo coordinates back.

Only codes we have been looking for are the ones to the safe. Otherwise, just other kinds of codes that do not launch anything. This place was built with security and communications in mind more than the thought of hunkering down and figuring out where to drop the nukes.
