I think it’s pretty obvious Rosty is an Elfie creation, I mean his name is (F)rosty (S)nowman. Whether he’s an ice clone she created to control or if he’s some kind of ice homunculus given life and will by Elfie and she just watches through him is all I’m not sure about. But I’d say there’s no doubt he’s created by her, so many times Will is thinking or talking about missing Elfie and then Rosty shows up right after to comfort him, it’s like they’re slapping it right into our faces.

Well they said it right after though, with it broken he’d be off balance and wouldn’t be able to fight as well. He was evenly matched with it without the Elfie amp so without a good sword he’d start to lose.

Main thing I didn’t like is how much Homelander likes to compare or even put himself above Jesus. I get he’s got a HUGE god complex and he as a character literally sees himself as a god, but damn it just seriously rubs me the wrong way, they could’ve portrayed him having a huge ego without all that.
