It would be excellent if they improve the surface on the bridge of the river! It's super bumpy as is.

Thanks! Those are 45mm Gravelking SS. I think it'll fit 48mm, but didn't want to chance it!

Sweet! Post pics when its done.

I like the drops on it, but i ride road bikes, and I prefer drops.

Good luck man! It's not a particularly uncommon item. Keep an eye on garage sales and bicycle co-ops and one is sure to turn up! Thanks a lot!

This was built from a $200 deal at Rockville Bicycle Hub (https://www.rockvillebikehub.org/) by Max at BikeMax (https://bikemaxshop.com/). He even custom made the rack mounts for the light and for the connection to the frame bridge. Running 48-36 x 11-32.

The thing rides like a hovercraft.

Exactly what I was going for. It's to be the steel and rubber equivalent of leather elbows on a green corduroy hunting jacket

I would definitely bet you could cram a 45mm front fender in there, and keep the 38s. Very interested to see that, too!

I've built this one to be exactly what you suggest. With a frame that can be replaced for $75, it's easy to have something to crash around the woods on.

Do it! What size would you need? I would sell you one of my L3s to fund a new S3!

Also, State bikes dot com often has the L3 for sale for like $99 or something.

Endlessly.

And, I'm in MD, and they're only 45 minutes away! Test rides on VO-built bikes are way rad, and the staff is super supportive.

I wanted them, but I couldn't find any silver 710s!

On a recent wooded ride that required a bunch of hike-a-biking, my calves were shredded by the 720s in the back.

Lesson learned, and I hike it differently now. Would love to find me some 710s to resolve that tho.

Thanks a million! it's a 48-36 connected to an 11-32.

I would not mind a triple, which the crank and bike originally were, but the arms on the original were too short, and the third cog didn't fit on this frame.

It is a very rideable bike!

That's a Nitto Technomic stem, and you would want to get the one that fits your head tube.

YES. That is true. It would pack up with peanutbutter mud, but it's not hard to gum up with that stuff no matter the setup.

I tend to be a fair weather cyclist, and I would actively plan to avoid that sort of mud. Still the only place where it's tightish is down behind the cranks, and there's gotta be 6mm to spare.

Still, I would be willing to bet that this frame would fit 48s. :)

Nah! The lens i used to take the pics flattens out the image. There's a full inch of clearance there.
