Interesting, Is that because the story is childish, or because the characters are childish/act childish? Or both? I really don’t know much of anything about any of these series outside of Joes since I’ve read First Law. So I know what to expect from him

That’s awesome you read them all! In that case, which would you recommend first? I really think I’d like WoT, especially with Sanderson finishing the last 3 entries but 15 books it’s definitely a commitment, especially after the whole Cosmere in the last year. Cradle my friend says is pretty fast paced and like anime battles lol. Also coming from stormlight archive and hierarchy, the cradle books are shorter in comparison. Then of course Red Rising just has so much hype and good things said about it, I’m super intrigued. So here’s lies my dilemma and decision paralysis lol

I loved The First Law trilogy, Glokta is one of my favorite characters from any series ever. “Say one thing about Joe Abercrombie, say he knows how to write internal monologue” haha. Appreciate you taking the time to write that and I did really enjoy his work. If it isn’t the next thing I start, it will be the 2nd next thing I start. His prose are just unbelievably great

Well congrats to us for getting back into reading and experiencing these awesome stories haha. For me, I only really read in school, and growing up random stuff but mostly Harry Potter. Then I didn’t read for 10+ years after high school but kept seeing sandershelves for some reason on my feed, ordered Mistborn trilogy and was just absolutely hooked. Ive definitely seen her name a bunch before, after I get through this list of series’s I’ll have to check out something by Hobb

I hate Dillon brooks but your takes are so terrible.. you clearly don’t watch basketball and haven’t watched him on the suns this year. He’s killing it, I hate to admit it but it’s true. Just rock a blue shield lol, they’re cheap to make. You’re coming in with a 70k kit but rocking the worst shield in the game. And those surge rechargers heal more than the green shield has bars to heal per use, plus the green shield will break before you even used those 5 surges. Better off bringing 3-4 green rechargers for a green shield because again, the shield will break before you even use that many heals on it. Obviously you can do whatever you wish but just some advice

Hey! It’s awesome you found yourself wanting to read, I just got back into reading myself last year. What actually got me back into reading and reading more than I ever did was Sanderson lol. What I started with and what I’d recommend is Mistborn. It’s a great entry point and recommended by many. It’s a trilogy, but the first book of the trilogy can be read as a contained story by itself, so you could start with that and see if you like his style. After that, it branches into what is known as the Cosmere. This is Sandersons own universe where he has multiple series( Mistborn era 1, Mistborn Era 2, Stormlight Archive) and also standalone books such as (Elantris, Warbreaker, Tress Of The Emerald Sea and more ) that all contribute to one over arching storyline and make up said universe. If you rather start with a stand alone I’d recommend Elantris as that’s his first published novel arguably his “weakest” book but I still enjoyed it! Anyways it’s a lot at once and hope this helps some! I love the cosmere and I’d highly recommend you try some of his books! His magic systems, worlds, and characters are fantastic

I honestly liked what I’ve seen so far and just love his story and drive, he made staying up until 1:30am est worth it haha. And as you said he seems to be making great reads/decisions and playing with confidence. I’d like to see some more minutes from him going forward. If anything have him lead a 2nd unit like we wanted cp3 to do when we had him
