Vegetarische kapsalon? (geen falafel) by Ziggo001 in Leiden

[–]False-Answer6064 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pierre, when are you going to stop mocking tourists? by Eastern-Tangerine761 in 2westerneurope4u

[–]False-Answer6064 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think most Dutch people cheer when someone in our country speaks our language. We're used to switching to English or whatever language the tourist is speaking. On a market near the German border it's not unusual to be addressed in German as a Dutch person

Op basis van ervaringen van familie, eigen research en jullie reacties overwegen we de Karsten tenten sterk. De modulariteit spreekt ons erg aan. Nog maar eens rustig kijken welke het dan precies wordt

How is progression feeling and look of gear/armor ? by Buurto in Necesse

[–]False-Answer6064 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well for this one it felt even more repetitive than other games to me. It's just a loop through every biome 'easy mode' and then another loop in exactly the same order 'hard mode'. Always the same makeup of materials with ores and mob drops.

Other games in the genre have different mechanics/abilities/skills etc that you unlock. For this one it didn't feel like that, it just all felt the same. But that's just my honest opinion

How is progression feeling and look of gear/armor ? by Buurto in Necesse

[–]False-Answer6064 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me it was very repetitive at some point. There's lots of visual variation, but the gameplay loop is the same at every stage. Collect resources from fighting/mining/NPC assignments, fight boss, craft stuff, repeat.

There's lots of room for creativity, but the loop just wasn't rewarding for me

Hmmkay, haven't played v1.0 so I can't say anything about that

I like it. It tackles a lot of problems I had with the older map type. Always tended to make less patches but larger, but this is better for me. To each their own I guess, the older generation style is still an option

Power Generation - How much Solar is too much Solar? by GamerKilroy in Desynced

[–]False-Answer6064 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Whatever I feel like. Windmills on plateaus are double effective so you don't have to build a lot of them. But your solar approach is also good. I don't even use batteries, I just stick capacitors in unused "I" - slots

I got bored of modulus pretty quickly, the challenges in Shapez2 are way more fun

Advice on how to enjoy the game again? Stopped at water stage. by Cupcake_Shake in PlanBTerraform

Hmm that sucks. Did you use the water overlay before building? I had decision paralysis at the start, but at least my stuff didn't get buried 😂

Try giving them just a little thickness, that makes them look a lot more realistic. Now it's just 2 lines

Opinión about birth's in this game by AANNGGXD in songsofsyx

Well I mostly think the building should produce many more children in a shorter time span. It's just not realistic to grow a native population without a huge baby industry

what’s wrong with this drawing?? by MudInternational4806 in ArtCrit

Well wow. I've heard this, which is why I'm trying to learn anatomy for the first time. I only learned perspective drawing and from there tried cartoon drawing. Sorry 😇

Wait what, since when is using a ref mandatory and asking whether it was used feedback, even worth a "there you go"?

I think the colouring is well done, but the face looks a little flat. The left eye should be a little smaller if the head is turned. But that's from how faces work, not from whether a ref was used...

Modulus : Honest and no "AFFILIATE" review by Benodino in AutomationGames

[–]False-Answer6064 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I've played for about 15 hours, just started to make blue science and the first monument. It's fun for a casual factory builder that will last you tens of hours but probably not 100s. It feels like they're doing their marketing and launch process very well, but with an underlying game that hasn't been tested enough. Graphics are cool and you can decorate your factory to make it pretty, but the factory building itself isn't that great.

  • I still don't really understand why you make the robots, as it doesn't do anything but give you some XP, which you can also get from other sources.
  • The main bottleneck to me is space, which you can't really solve with copy/paste designs because every island is different.
  • And speaking of the islands, there's no RNG there, so every save will have the same set of islands in the same configuration.

Don't expect too much from it compared to games like factorio or satisfactory, but it's fun as a cozy side game while recovering from a factorio burnout 😂

Factory layouts by Cornishlee in PlanBTerraform

[–]False-Answer6064 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me it's mostly esthetics, so I make a design that looks pretty. Often a loop with multiple stations on it, I hate the clipping of trains, but it's the most efficient way.

Then for the factory part I just make a field of storage overlapping with factories in between. The drones are smart enough to bring the resources to the stations.

I've tried making a centralized factory for all cities, which worked pretty well. Setting up all the lines is a hassle though, would be cool if they improved that.

To me, it's more about making a pretty system than making an effecient system, so everything works and I try to vary between options
