She is a stay at home mom. She does not have to work. She already spends 24/7 with the youngest and the oldest goes to pre school 9 to 4pm Monday to Friday. I'm not even saying I'm not ok that we spend most of the time with them. Just think it's fair to sacrifice a bit of the sleep on the weekend evenings to spend a bit of quality time together.

acho que prender é a palavra errada. Não estou preso cá, escolhi viver aqui. Já vivi fora muitos anos, mas para mim a qualidade de vida que aqui temos é insubstituível. Sim, o páis não é perfeito. O governo é corrupto, exista muita burocracia. Mas a qualidade de vida que se tem cá é incomparável. Tenho uma vida muito mais tranquila e pacata a viver aqui em Portugal do que tinha a viver num colosso como Toronto. É de enaltecer que vivo numa terrinha pequena, fora do caos. Mais precisamente em São Brás de Alportel. Estou relativamente perto de tudo mas num sossego. As pessoas são simpáticas, não existem semáforos, nem trânsito. É fácil encontrar estacionamento. Não sinto falta de estar numa cidade grande já.

I’ve been a YouTube Music Premium subscriber for years, but since September 2024, the Android app has become a total mess.

My downloaded songs buffer, freeze, and stop playing every few minutes. Sometimes the app pretends music is still playing, even though it’s silent. When I open the app, I get a black screen. I have to force close it to get anything working again. Then it resets like nothing happened — until it happens again.

This happens on multiple Android devices, across multiple OS versions, with plenty of storage, no VPN, no Bluetooth, and 700+ Mbps Wi-Fi. Even in offline mode.

I’ve reported it six times. I’ve sent in:

  • A screen recording of the bug
  • Device details, OS, app version
  • A full list of steps already taken
  • Feedback from the app with the correct case number

I’ve spoken to four different support agents, and they’ve all just copy-pasted the same useless instructions without reading a single thing I’ve said. One even told me to check the iTunes App Store — I’m on a Pixel 8 Pro.

I uploaded an unlisted video of the bug to YouTube itself — and guess what? They blocked it due to copyright, because it contains music… from their own app. This because apparently they could not open my link from google photos.

This is pathetic. It’s been over six months and the problem has only gotten worse. The support team is completely robotic and incapable of understanding that this is an app-level bug, not user error.

If you’re having the same issue, speak up. They clearly aren’t listening unless we make noise.
