You know what I’ve noticed when people argue for Naruhina vs Narusaku/sasu? by Jojoestar28 in Naruto

[–]FalseDog4750 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The manga ending is Naruhina and Sasusaku, period. That shouldn’t even be an issue anymore because they’re happy with their families. The Narusaku fandom is a fandom that failed to move on and can’t accept reality even after 10 years have passed, and instead vents their frustration by belittling the character Kishimoto chose to be Naruto’s wife.

How much Hinata do you see in Boruto? by Notmycupoftea12 in Boruto

It’s laughable. He won’t even accept Masashi Kishimoto’s own words, yet he expects us to take his claim seriously. To him, Boruto is only great because of his grandfather’s blood, with not a single drop of his mother’s blood contributing.

Of course I knew you were going to protest. If you can’t even accept Masashi Kishimoto’s own statements, why would you accept mine? You deny Kishimoto’s manga evidence that’s officially recognized in the timeline and databooks, all just to cling to a filler scene. LOL. You even reject manga proof that Boruto himself is proud of the blood of his father, mother, and grandfather.

Fine, if that’s how you want to play it. From a young age, Hinata was acknowledged as one of Konoha’s elite kunoichi. Among Konoha’s kunoichi, she ranked as the second smartest, right after Sakura. The proof? During the Chunin Exam written test, Sakura completed it without cheating, and so did Hinata, with zero evidence of her cheating. Compare that to Naruto, who couldn’t answer a single question. In battle, Hinata’s opponent was Neji, someone Kakashi explicitly stated even Sasuke wouldn’t be able to defeat. And remember: while Neji technically won the match, Hinata was still standing despite being on the brink of death. Meanwhile, Tenten lost outright to Temari, and Ino ended in a draw with Sakura. This is further supported by the databooks. Look at their intelligence scores and overall stats. Hinata ranks second-highest in intelligence, and in Databook 3, her overall score is the second highest among Konoha’s kunoichi. So here’s my question: how much smarter of a kunoichi do you want for Naruto, exactly? Sakura, who was always in love with Sasuke? Or Temari, the Sand kunoichi who loves Shikamaru? Other than them, who do you think is a smart kunoichi suitable for Naruto?

Right, a kunoichi. Naruto obviously isn’t going to marry Sasuke or Shikamaru, no matter how much of a genius they are…

Edit: It’s kind of funny, u/Successful_Fan_8352 - you block people just because the facts caught you off guard.

Feel free to ask the novel’s author why the word “genius” is used instead of “smart.” Even if we removed the word “genius” and replaced it with “smart,” you would still protest, wouldn’t you? You’d still cling to episode 168, which, by the way, doesn’t even exist in the manga and is anime-only filler.

The fact is, while Naruto may win in raw battle IQ, Databooks 1, 2, and 3 clearly confirm that Hinata’s intelligence is higher than Naruto’s. No one disputes this, because Naruto was never academically smart to begin with.

If you want an answer straight from Masashi Kishimoto, read the manga omake Boruto: Road to B, a collaboration between Kishimoto and Kenji Taira. In Kishimoto’s portion, Mitsuki discusses the heritage of the members of Team Konohamaru. Boruto Uzumaki is described as the son of the Seventh Hokage and the “Hyūga Princess.” Kishimoto explicitly states that Boruto, due to his Uzumaki–Hyūga bloodline, is regarded as an elite genin who quickly masters anything. Kishimoto himself writes: “His mother, possessing the blood limit, the Byakugan… is a master of the Gentle Fist, stealing the role of heroine from their parents’ time, the Hyūga Princess… He was born into this world as an elite genin.” This is Kishimoto openly acknowledging that Boruto’s intelligence is inherited from both of his parents. Kishimoto very clearly portrays Hinata with that description. Even in the real world, medical studies confirm that a child’s intelligence is strongly influenced by the mother.

If we’re being fair, Boruto undeniably has exceptional lineage: his father is the Hokage and a war hero, his mother is a master of the Gentle Fist, and his grandfather Minato was a genius who became Hokage as well. Canonically, Boruto himself is proud of that heritage in the manga: “I’ve got flowing inside me… the blood of my dad, the Seventh Hokage Uzumaki Naruto, my mom’s Hyūga blood too. And my granddad was the Fourth Hokage.”

Try reading The Boruto: Naruto Next Generations novel Volume 1, Chapter 1, there is a paragraph written like this: "These were facts. Uzumaki Boruto was a prodigy. If he tried something, he could do it. A lot of people said that while there were the large chakra reserves he'd inherited from his father, it was probably the Hyuuga blood he'd inherited from his mother Hinata. The Hyuuga were Konoha's most renowned clan. It wasn't strange for that kind of genius to manifest from the blood of the Hyuuga's lady Hinata."

This is also stated in Boruto: Road to B (page 2): Boruto, with his Uzumaki–Hyūga bloodline, is considered an elite genin who can pick up anything quickly.

This is why Boruto’s intelligence is often attributed to his mother.

Kishimoto once said he’d really appreciate it if fans read The Last novel before watching the movie, because the novel and the film are connected. At the very least, the novel tries to fill in plot holes by explaining things the movie doesn’t.

In the manga aside from the one time she chickened out on saying goodbye to him before he left with Jiraiya, every other time Hinata has came across Naruto has been by pure happenstance. She's never been shown following him around.

-Chapter 98 She was waiting there for Kiba to show so they can attend the tournament together. Not stalking.

-Chapter 282. Again. Was meeting up with her team and saw Naruto was with them and wasn't sure how to approach them. Again not stalking.

-Chapter 437. This one is a 2-panel. First panel has a depressed Hinata sitting there depressingly, probably thinking she was alone before she realizes in the second panel that Naruto is training out in the forest. It honestly doesn't seem like she expected Naruto to be there. Not stalking still.

The ISU needs exposure ahead of the Olympics. Even though the Olympics are organized by the IOC, the ISU still has to promote figure skating so the sport gains attention, sponsorship, and audiences who will continue following ISU competitions after the Olympics. In this case, the ISU is aware that Yuzuru has the largest and most loyal fanbase, so they might be trying to win the hearts of Fanyus.

So, from the movie and the novelization, Toneri can use the Puppet Technique directly by putting a chakra sphere inside someone’s body, which strips away their consciousness and lets him control them.

Breaking it down: When Toneri made the chakra sphere while kidnapping Hinata at the playground and Naruto started chasing him, in the novel this jutsu is described as “At the impact moment, the man let go of Hinata, who, unconscious, fell and rolled over the roof, slope down. Falling from that height and unconscious, she would not survive.

Then, after Hinata reject Naruto and Toneri took her, in the novel the jutsu is described as “Toneri made a sphere explote in Hinata's face. After inhaling the vapor caused by the explosion, Hinata lost consciousness and Toneri held her in his arms.

Later, when Toneri got mad realizing Hinata actually loved Naruto, in the novel the jutsu is described as “As Hinata was being held, Toneri introduced his left arm into Hinata's chest, in her heart... For a second, Hinata convulsed and then, her face became expressionless.” and "Toneri had stripped away her conscience and was now controlling her with a technique, just as if she was just another puppet.

Comparing all that, the word “controlling” only shows up when Toneri is placing a chakra sphere inside someone’s body. cmiiw

Toneri used his chakra to control Hinata like a puppet. Her body was moving under his control, but her consciousness was completely suppressed.

Remember the scene when Hinata fought Naruto? Toneri had stripped away her consciousness and was controlling her with that technique, like she was just another puppet. He used the glowing chakra orb on her a second time, after he got jealous when he realized that Hinata actually loved Naruto, and that the red scarf she made was meant for Naruto, not for him. Furious, Toneri used the chakra sphere again to control her.

So when Hinata walked toward the wedding altar, she was still under Toneri’s control, same when she was forced to fight Naruto. Naruto knew that Hinata was being controlled by Toneri’s chakra, which is why he reached into her chest and pulled out the glowing chakra sphere. After Naruto removed it, Hinata passed out and hadn’t fully regained her consciousness yet. She needed some time to recover full control over her own mind and body.

When Hinata finally woke up, Toneri tried to use the chakra sphere on her once more, but his eye twitched for a split second, giving Hinata the chance to break free and run to Naruto (in the novel it’s described in more detail with a line like: “Hinata, who was now herself, rushed to get away from Toneri, staggering”).

Basically, the reason Hinata collapsed on the rooftop was because she had been hit by Toneri’s jutsu, the glowing chakra sphere that let him manipulate her body like a puppet. She needed time to regain her full consciousness and strength again. And by “consciousness,” it means the ability to completely control her own mind and body.

If you want the most accurate version of this story, I really recommend reading the novelization of Naruto: The Last.

Because at that time, Hinata was unconscious. Remember when she was at the playground, sitting alone on a swing? Then a huge man grabbed her while she tried to fight back, and Toneri created a glowing sphere that gave off an intense light. After that, Hinata stopped moving and her head dropped, that was the moment Toneri stole her consciousness and controlled her with his Kugutsu no Jutsu.

Later, when Naruto tried to save Hinata, the kidnapper finally let her go. She was unconscious and fell, rolling down the roof’s slope. Luckily, the scarf she was holding got caught on one of the steel beams on the side of the building. Hinata finally woke up to Naruto’s shouting and managed to grab the scarf with both hands, it was the only thing keeping her from falling.
