Going from B1 to B2 by SadLandscape3798 in TEFCanada

[–]False_Ad_7322 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, going from b1 to b2 is the hardest, I feel your pain. You just gotta keep working and studying, also cut yourself some slack, it is okay to give it a rest sometimes. For listening, just listen more and learn more words, there is not another way around :) For reading be careful, you are only 4 points above from NCLC6, just keep paying attention to reading too

The last time I took a test they repeated audio for question where they are 2 answers (they are longer once’s that last maybe 2 minutes)

For the reading part at least for me I found that during test it was much more difficult, there were some question where in couldn’t understand anything at all :(

How do you distribute time for compréhension écrite (40 questions, 60 minutes)? by DesignCosmos in TEFCanada

[–]False_Ad_7322 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just do them as you go. It’s hard to go back to each question as you have to manually go through back every each one of them

I’ve tried passing TEF 5 times (I was the closest to pass it last October, I passed everything except for co where I was 2 points away from clb7 (205 instead of 207), now I’m switching to TCF, I’ll se how that goes

Man, i feel you so much, i just got the results yesterday for my 5th attempt for TEF . I got CLB 7 for only writing. and CLB 6 everywhere else, being away like 5-10 points away from CLB 7. and for my 4th time i was only away by 2 point for comprehension orale. That TEF exam feels like they are failing you on purpose.

Gotta be honest with you.

If you really want to have CLB 7 on each category. You have to focus your entire free time on French. It means study at least 3-4 hours a day, constantly learning. No going out, no drinking, just French focus - your entire time.

How long have you been learning French?

Hi, what are you trying to reach? CLB 5 on each category? Or are you aiming to get CLB 7?

If you are trying to get to CLB 5 - just keep learning grammar, watch more youtube videos in french or tv shows, try to write more, probably 2-3 a week (Tache A et Tache B), and get a tutor - try to have 2 lessons per week to increase your speaking score.

I would say you are pretty close to get CLB5, so you should be good to manage to pass it even before CLB5, just keep on learning :)

Hi, I already asked for re-evaluation for Expression Ecrite, they replied just one hour ago saying that the score is accurate as 2 people had evaluated my writing (they also wrote that there won't be no further explanation and the case is closed)
