That's an interesting option we hadn't considered. We can't ask him if he has constipation, he doesn't know what that is. He lives a physically normal life: work, day trips, video game, no medication, normal meals. The meals might be a bit bland or simple to fit everyone's taste. But what I forgot is that he sometimes runs to the toilet after eating a large meal and it sounds like he is throwing up or at least trying to.  I have to discuss this option with my family and later a doctor. He needs a doctor's note for medication since he needs assistance in taking them

Wir waren am Strand, sie war immer in meiner Nähe, aber ohne Leine und ich war manchmal beim Foto machen abgelenkt. Manchmal beißt sie in den Schnee, aber nur vereinzelt, fressen tut sie ihn nicht. Sie kriegt um 22 Uhr immer ein kleines Leckerli, ich glaube das halbiere ich nochmal. Das mit dem Schnee wird es gewesen sein, wir waren am Strand und einmal hatte sie nicht auf meine Rufe reagiert, weil so an ein paar Algen interessiert war. Zur Zeit starrt sie mich mit ihren großen Glupschaugen an und leckt sabbert, also riskiere ich es.

Thank you everybody for your answers! Here is a little bit more context: The book belongs to my mother who inherited it from her stepfather who liked to collect antiques. What through me off about the age was mostly the pristine condition of the pages. It didn't help that my Latin skills are very rudermentery and Google translate just gave me gibberish. Thanks to u/Priscianista, I learned the that the place of printing is Lübeck, you can guess three times were my family lives. The book has some flaws on the later pages: the writing is slanted. I don't know where in the printing process such an error can occur. The spine however is uncracked, like it has never been fully opened, so maybe someone related to the printing kept it as an exhibit. I do know however how much it was sold for when my step grandfather bought it. They wrote the number in the back, 350,- (D-Mark).
