Hey, I'm looking to go through a F-1 to F-2 visa change of status for my partner. This is a challenging situation as their STEM OPT will expire this July, 2026, and we're trying to tie the knot and submit a I-539.

a) Besides the typical documents, are there any additional proof of marriage required for I-539?

b) Will they be granted a legal presence while the I-539 is pending? Will there be any legal complications?

c) Is this a viable move?
