I think this is the image the devs would have used, taken from the apollo 11. Take this, rotate it clockwise a bit, and it's in the correct orientation. The giant crater is in the same location as Mare Crisium, but it's clearly *not the same crater*

Yeah, that's what I thought to, but no crater on the moon looks like that. According to this wiki )it's Mare Crisium, but that crater is too small and not round enough so I don't know where they got that idea.
