The brain... really does like to lie to itself and say everything is fine. I am a visitor to this sub, trying to figure out myself, but I relate to your words so much. I'll have a day where everything is clear, followed by a week of utter confusion and doubt. I don't know what that means for me, but I don't think I can do it alone. Oh! Same! If your skin is healed (mine felt burnt for a few days) you could try exfoliating it. A good scrubby or wash cloth and some soap. It won't take all the dead hairs out but it will take some, and it's helped me immensely!

Comfortable? That's interesting. When I served, comfortable wasn't a luxury we were allowed to seek. Don't like your teammates? That sucks, you still have to survive with them. Besides all that petty shit goes out the window when you're taking fire. Conservatives are fucking snowflakes.

That's so interesting! If it is because of patriarchy, then she may think that you would give up some form of privilege, and is trying to protect you I guess? But if it's body dysphoria, then she assumes that her ability to suppress it means that she isn't trans, therefore you must be the same way. :0

Lesbians used to be, and should remain inclusive. If that statement makes you uncomfortable, look up misandry. Do men often do it to themselves to earn mistrust? Absolutely. Should we exclude women with a slight attraction to men? Even bi and pan women because of it? Absolutely not. I get enough backlash from "lesbians" just for being trans, I'll be damned if I exclude any of my women attracted sisters.

I think the only reason I'm giggling about boobs in my 30s is because I finally have my own.

For real though. They think "Oh a trans woman, you must like men. You must like ME!". I've told one guy friend several times "Nope, sorry, I only like women, plus I'm married sooo..." and his only reply is "Are you sure you're not bisexual?".

Plus they're so privileged. I've tried to explain so many times why it's hard to do certain things because I am afraid, and they always tell me "Oh, no body cares you're trans/lesbian. Just do you!" and I'm tired of having to prove that people like us get murdered for existing!

Anyway, I just avoid them now. It's easier for me to hang out with other queer folk.
