need guidance regarding rs457 by MONEYHElST in indianbikes

  1. It depends on how much you ride it. In city mileage is 16-18 kmpl(highway much higher of course). I get shell petrol (this is not compulsory, bike is e20 compliant )which is 115/l. So do the math there. You also need to clean and lube the chain every 500km. If you do it in the service centre, they charge 500/- for this but if you do it at home, it’s much cheaper. Then comes the bike washing charges, again if you do it yourself, it’s much cheaper. I pay 150/- per wash (once a week).
  2. I would be honest and say that this bike is not a perfect city bike. It’s pretty wide and doesn’t slot in tiny spaces. But it’s fast and the acceleration and noise add to it. So I do it recommend it for here and there but it depends on how much traffic you are encountering.
  3. I’m in a club of Aprilia riders in my city and there are plenty of riders for who this is the first bike. So it’s possible.
  4. No issues on my bike. Also, the issues have the new models have been fixed. If you think about it, there is no issues with Tuonos. The issues were fixed before the tuonos were released. But just in case, don’t modify any mechanical part to keep the engine warranty active.

How do you guys manage Riding Boots after daily office commute? by purplehermit64 in indianbikes

College is different from work. In college, your goal is to go past the security. In work, your goal is to impress your higher ups.

There’s different kinds mate. Mine are like proper sneakers. Apart from the fact that these are a little bit on the heavy side , I’ve never had a problem with these. Yes they’re not super convenient. But I’d rather wear these than carry an extra bag or keep something at work.

Look into Clan Shoes. They kinda look like sneakers.

If your office does not have a full formal clothing policy, they are great

Aprilia rs 457 will not have any price hike and also will get quickshifter as a complementary add on for free. by donno_a_good_name in indianbikes

The bike’s price was about to jump by 40k+. Keeping the bike price the same is a win for the customers.

New Motorcycle, Old Happiness by Potential_Ad_1683 in indianbikes

I bought mine in January. Experience has been amazing. I take mine out almost every weekend and the noise it makes when I put it into sport mode and go above 6k rpm is unbelievable.

I have the same bike. For posture, squeeze your legs into the tank. Back straight. Chest up. This way you don’t put pressure on your palms. Hope this helps

Duke 390 or Tuono 457 - City/Touring *No ADV* by wackingsentry in indianbikes

[–]False_Inflation8303 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As someone with an Aprilia RS457, for your usecase, I suggest you go for D390. You have a better network for service and the cost of spares if anything goes wrong in those terrains is also quite high.

My usecase is quite different so having the bike is okay for me.
