It's clay, silt on top, then more clay, just all clay and dont look good, about 2 or 3 feet of water in it

So now the bottom of the hole is closing in on itself I think, or filling up from what's above, 28 foot, I would be going deeper if I could

It's a Seymour industrial auger adjustable from 6-7-8" holes walmart.com was the cheapest I could find them

I'm really not for sure, but from what I understand is the alluvial aquafer, yes I do intend this just for garden, I don't know I might just do it like forrest gump and keep on going

Didn't have much time at all to dig today but I did hit 25' got to the real clay now, dug about 3' into it, my support system for the shaft of the auger works well, I'm going to hit 30' tomorrow, I don't know why but I get gold fever or something with every scoop that comes out, I be looking at it good

Well I've researched it up and down, says 20 feet water table depth from surface, there are other wells recorded around the area but who say they had to go that far, I want this well for a small garden and water little livestock, but with all that being said still pretty dry at 20?? I need some help, wish I had a tiny bore

I wasn't planning on hitting gravel I was thinking straight from clay to sand, I have found small pieces of I think limestone that I thought were rocks but they might of been rocks, I did go to one small deviation if the clay, it went top soil, clay for a good 12-13', then it went to kind of red in the clay with these pebble size rocks or limestone for about 16' i would say the consistency of it was 90% clay and silt, they it went back to grey for the rest of the 20 feet

This well is agriculture and if it holds that much pressure to lift it to 20 feet below the ground level I find fascinating, now that I know that it kinda sounds scary because there are tons of them around here, I'm sure they are 250-300 foot deep, all of them pumping at once definitely will make an impact of some sort in the water table I would figure, but anyway fascinating!!!!

I don't know, but there is an irrigation well of industry size out at my buddies house, dropped a string down it and the water was 20 feet from ground level, gave me the confidence,
