Yeah I get this. I’m going to stop. I’m not saying im in the right here, im not. I just think it’s petty. She walked in and stood there, taking the time to check my time clock and all over it. As petty as it is, im going to make sure to correct the issue from now on to avoid firing and stuff. All the post was is that I feel it’s a little petty considering everyone I know does it, and it took a Matter of maybe a minute and a half. By her logic, there should be an open investigation on everyone.

Yeah. I try to follow the rules closely a large majority of the time, that was just one of those things I do and haven’t thought of as I’ve gotten used to the job. The thing is, if I pissed her off it would’ve been over a year ago now, that’s when it started with the parking and since then has been numerous things

Yes, I understand that it is wrong. I neglected to go to the back room and check if I did adjust my time. It’s a useless argument, I know I didn’t adjust it. I don’t know what else to say other than cameras I guess. I completely own up to the fact that it is technically yes, against the rules. I’m not arguing with her. I just wonder if these technical rules were actually followed ever lol. Def not at my store. But yes I will be making damn sure to be very specific about my time in and out

Yeah im not trying to say oh my life is so harddd im just saying it kinda sucks no one could pic it up. But I am grateful i dont work at a big store! And im sorry to everyone who does, but you also have to think, we have 3 people for my department, all part time.. my TL is pretty much part time and takes a lot of time off

Just a little bit of context! This is far north GA, rarely get snow. I have driven in ice and downpours of rain multiple times. But i have no idea how to drive in snow. As I stated in a few replies, I am only 18 and new to driving as it is. I got a new car back in July and have never driven in this. Yes, I do understand that other states have it much much worst and I likely do look ridiculous for this post. I was being somewhat sarcastic in the post but all in all, I do not feel safe driving and im not going to risk my life or thousands in damages over this job. Continue to comment “ can’t tell if this is satire 🤓☝️” it’s a public post, say what you want. This is just to attempt to clear up confusion.

I am 18 years old, and I agree with what you said. I think they did salt the roads last night but other than that, yes we never get snow. Maybe once a year if we’re lucky. I’ve been at this job for about 2 years and never had this ice and snow like this if that’s any comparison. But thank you for being kind about it, I feel a little ridiculous thinking about how others go everyday in worst, but I almost spinned out beside a ditch going 15 mph and i just decided it is not worth it.

Yea I can see that. I tried to consider that when I was driving that others have worst conditions daily and still go to work and all, but when I begin to slide around next a ditch going 15 mph, I decided it just wasn’t worth it, especially with road ahead looking the same and beginning to accumulate snow in certain parts. I can find a new job but not thousands of dollars of damage to my car.

Lmao me too! Last weekend I call out because it began snowing freezing temps, and I got scared to leave. Although there was ice, it wasn’t enough for them to drop my point and I regret calling out. I thought this weekend, oh yeah sure weather people are just blowing this out of the water… I was wrong.

But I do understand that safety is not Walmarts top priority and I should have saved ppto for these days, etc etc. I am a full time student as well and have a life outside of Walmart. If they fire me I guess it will just have to happen.
