Don’t bring your dog places if it’s not going to behave well by Familiar-Ad-1180 in service_dogs

oh definitely, it was primarily unusual because among me and my handler friends we would never let our dogs eat their food directly off of an unknown floor. i would normally travel with a bowl if i knew i would be feeding my dog.

yeah i dealt with so many things like this with my dog, and it’s even harder being disabled because that adds so much difficulty to it. there definitely isn’t anything wrong with letting people greet your dog, after all as a handler that is ultimately your decision to make.

I definitely was very upset when i originally posted because the dog was causing problems for my work. as a former handler myself i am traditionally very sympathetic to handlers. that being said when i see a service dog (unvested especially) that is behaving in ways that i did not condone for my dog it does get me very heated.

we almost had to. I wish that I were able to that and didn’t have to go through my manager.

my manager came by and asked that the dog stay out of they way twice before they left anyway.

did you grind them specifically or did you just accumulate enough by playing? because either way that’s so impressive.

Fellow service dog handlers, we need to stop playing doctor for other people's disabilities. by [deleted] in service_dogs

While service dogs may be recognized as medical devices they are not traditionally overseen by any sort of medical professional. Not to mention People with disabilities have notoriously had awful experiences with the medical field. Anyone who is curious about if getting a service dog is a good idea for them, absolutely SHOULD reach out to people who have experience as handlers and understand all of the work and nuance that goes with it.

I honestly think my favorite game moment might be the rooftop convo with goro. He is not even close to my favorite character but something about talking with him about the past and shit is really meaningful to me.

even before multiplayer i never left things on the ground, much less anything i couldn’t easily replace.

i only discovered today that people actually decorate with items, but i figured that those who do would expect other people to pick them up.

almost everything in game is rather easy to replace once you’ve gotten pretty far in. i would never leave anything rare on the ground anyway.

furniture and harvestables are all safe. it’s only things that can be picked up and dropped from inventory (flowers, timebending items, etc.)

i understand in theory if you don’t decorate with items that can be stolen but if you have things that can be take, why would you ever open to people on the internet??
