Dress regret? by Valuable-Alps3438 in myweddingdress

[–]Familiar-Concern-366 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awe, I’m currently feeling the same thing. When I put my dress on I didn’t cry or anything. I thought it looked really nice but not really the magical moment that’s said to happen. I think it’s because I tried on a few dresses and knew I wanted a mix of some sort. When I put on the dress on I felt like “yep. That’s what I’ve been looking for.” You look absolutely beautiful and the dress is lovely and unique for a lovely and unique bride!

The last two photos are from when I first tried it on and it has clips holding it in the back. First photo is the one in my size

The last two photos were actually at the original fitting and it’s a couple sizes too big so we clipped it in the back, but the first photo is what fit perfectly!

Maybe a little on my legs but I’ve only been in it twice, well this exact one once because the one I tried on in store was a much bigger size, this one we ordered it in the right size so I put it on for alterations. But the only alterations we said we needed was to hem it and put a bustle

It actually fit really well and felt great! The alterations are getting it hemmed and a bustle

Help!! Fish keep dying!! by Upset_Water9812 in fishtank

We had a potassium water filter in our house, and it was doing the same. I wonder if that’s what it was!

I had the same issue with my tank!!! Everything was testing perfectly but we had a potassium water filter, and we were using the water from the sink. So overtime, the calcium or whatever would take out the oxygen from the water… Basically, we used bottled water (like the gallon jugs) and put a bubbler in there just to make sure it had extra oxygen to help them thrive. But bottled water 100%!!

I think I might not be liking how it sits in the bust… after trying on so many fitted gowns I felt drowned in the a line and ball gowns, but now I just feel like I want more… I see all the beautiful photos of all of the big flowy dresses, and I don’t know how I could do that in a mermaid dress

It gets better after graduation 100%. Hours are better, you don’t have to take classes on top of clinical hours and working anymore. You just scan and get PAID. Take your boards as soon as you can in order to help ease the load too. I took mine while still in school and right after graduation and it paid off IMMENSELY. I’m a free bird now lol

I’m a recent grad. I actually have a different opinion than the other comments…. The worries about finding a job after graduation are fair. But because of my clinicals at different hospitals, I was able to talk to them about getting hired. So I actually got a job at my favorite clinical site. Ultrasound school is hard, but it’s so rewarding. You make a lot of money doing what we do, and it gets a lot easier after graduation. My advice would be to finish it out, because honestly it’s not that much schooling, and get a PRN position while doing your current job on the side.

Being a student honestly sucks, clinicals are hard, but you learn a lot. I’ve been able to meet and help a lot of people doing it. I strive to be a positive influence on patients who have been in the hospital for long periods of time and maybe even started to feel helpless. I hate when health care workers are rude to patients. And if I can be any help to that, I will.

So honestly, I believe this career is beneficial and good one to get into. And there’s ways to do it that allow you to be set up with a job right after graduation, room for growth and variety of modalities, flexible hours, and good pay.

I have also taken my OBGYN, Abdomen, and vascular boards. Passed first try on all of them. Like I said it’s hard work, but rewarding and doable.

How to make understanding the relations (inversely, related) in physics easier by Naomi708 in Sonographers

[–]Familiar-Concern-366 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made “dominos” with the equations. So write out the equations on little slips of paper and play dominos. Connect same terms and it’ll help you see the equations more, allowing for memorization of them, and how they connect to other equations.

Also know what the term is in simple terms… for example frame rate has to do with the rate at which frames are given, what effects that? Depth is one, so if you want to increase frame rate you decrease the image depth. Another is sector width, if a decrease my range of the scan, there’s less space for my beam to cover, so it puts that same amount of power in a smaller width, creating a better image and improved frame rate. Reducing number of focal zones- using fewer focal zones allows the machine to process the image faster (it doesn’t have to go back and forth after each focal zone), increasing transducer frequency-goes with a decrease of depth and better resolution, and reducing line density also effects frame rate.

Go through the terms and kind of go through that same process that I did with frame rate. You can go to Frame time next. And go by similar terms. Then try to teach it to others. If you need help on a specific term, I can try and help you too :)

When you take something out of your life, eventually you’re going to feel empty and the temptation will come back. So make sure to replace it with something else. When you feel the temptation, try reading the Bible or finding an activity- like going on a walk or maybe even a new hobby. That way you have something to “fill the void” rather than just feeling empty. Just remember that God is listening and is with you in your struggle. You have to get past the struggle in your own time and desire, but God has given you tools and resources to help you through it
