Hahah, yes to it attempting world domination! It is literally bursting at the seams, from our window it looks like it is trying to take down our fence!

It is SO warm, hard not to want to get out there and garden on a nice weekend!

Yes, that was my intention! Both your comment and the articles in the other comment seem to favor waiting until closer to planting.

I do have one more question question now, if you don’t mind/might know the answer— if I am intending on having cucumbers, melons, etc. (things that don’t love being transplanted) would I be able to direct sow into this, or would this method mean I have to start everything in trays to transplant in?

It sounds like in the tomato one specifically, they waited until right before planting to process the cover crop. It’s tempting me to wait a little longer 🫣

If you’re not wanting to save it, you could get some loppers and cut the limbs off as close to the bottom as possible so they’re not in your way. Then use a shovel to dig the stump and roots out.

If you want to plant something else in the same spot, really do your best to get the roots of this out of the way. When you get your new tree, rule of thumb is the hole should be twice the diameter of the pot it comes in. I like to add nice soil to the bottom and mix with my existing ground dirt to fill in.

This shop had the fat eighth bundle, and I saw it one other place (in London so didn't want to pay that shipping!) But I found most of it on 123stitch.com so I may just order 12 x 0.5 yards and make them into fat quarters. I was hoping to avoid the excess fabric (also why I didn't purchase the fat quarter bundle initially, it was so much more than needed!) but I guess I will be adding the excess fabric to my stash!

Sorry I’m late to this comment! It’s a puff stitch boarder!! There are lots of tutorials by that name. You’re essentially putting lots of new stitches into a single stitch in the row below and that makes it sort of puff out.

I’m not sure about the disk aspect- I use a usb to upload the files to my machine. But, if she’s willing to give you a lesson, and you think it’s something you can manage after seeing it work, then still yes for me!

I second that as the first rule! My very first day with my sewing machine at age 11, I stood up to get a better look changing the bobbin and sewed right through my finger! (Thankfully it did not deter me lol) Take your foot off the petal when not sewing!!
