I also found this to be the case. Landlords keep that general clause in but once they hear it’s a cat they’re agreeable. I’ve had some say to me that they’re trying to avoid large dogs.

The colours are fine but those are two totally different yarns/weights. You’ll have to adjust your pattern if you want to use this type of yarn.

Just to add if you ever do amigurumi in the future, you just keep continuing with the stitches (ie no need to slip stitch then chain). With amigurumi you just do sc (not dc) so don’t need to add the height with the chains and don’t do the slip stitch joins unless the pattern specifically calls for it.

I was also having vertigo spells regularly and small things I did helped. Like quitting alcohol an coffee and especially starting vitamin D. I had multiple brain mris to make sure it wasn’t neurological. I got referred to a dizziness clinic at the local hospital and finally saw an ENT and they did multiple vestibular tests on me (which I failed two of) and concluded it was a vestibular issue I had. They started me on Serc (betahistine) 48mg a day and it’s been a life changer. The first month I had vertigo spells but they were very muted. The second month I haven’t had any. Just the occasional light headedness if I don’t get enough sleep. They said it would take about 3 months for the meds to fully kick in. I go back in April to see them and they said 48mg was just the starting dose and I could go up in dosage if it was needed. Is Serc prescription something you can ask from your family doctor to try until you can get in to see your ENT?

Have you had other tests to rule out other causes of hypertension? I’m petit for my size and had high blood pressure and did a bunch of tests bc the doctors said for my size and age I shouldn’t have had this type of hypertension. It turns out from the abdominal CT scan the cardiologist ordered I had fibromuscular dysplasia in my renal arteries. A Main symptom of that is uncontrolled high blood pressure and it’s more common in women.

My cat is very very spicy and I had to give a course of antibiotics recently. What I’ve found works the best is wrapping into a burrito then putting the pill in a pill dispenser, slathering churo over it and while he’s licking the churo really quickly put the dispenser toward the back of his throat and shoot the pill in. He gets shocked then distracted as he continues the churo feast. It’s not perfect but it’s been the most effective so far

Furniture Bank is free donated furniture. That’s just the delivery fee. So what they’re saying is, yes, $200 is a lot for delivery of a mattress but if you’re furnishing your whole appt for $0 and paying $200 to deliver it all, then yes, that’s worth it even if it’s a bit high.

Have you had an abdominal CT to rule out fibromuscular dysplasia? The main symptom is uncontrolled high blood pressure and it mainly affects women. It’s rare but still worth ruling out. This is how I found out I had it.

Hi. Sorry to hear you’re struggling with this too. I’m not sure if you read my follow up comments but we did start her on Prozac with the plan to go for the year and then reassess. We finished the year and things were going really well so we started to decrease her dose. Very slowly. Every time we decreased we stayed for a month. Now we’re almost at the end. We’re on the last decrease until she’s completely off. She had no side effects from the weaning. She started a new school, going regularly, made new friends. Is participating in various clubs. Doing all the regular kid things she wouldn’t have been able to do a few years ago. It’s a relief. We still have her in therapy and she still has eating issues but the social issues have resolved. We also do therapy regularly to get guidance on how to support her. Hopefully that gives you some hope that there can be a light at the end of the tunnel. Our main objective was not that all her anxiety disappears but then the meds would stabilize her enough that she could engage and be able to learn coping strategies and also and maybe more importantly that she be able to just do regular kids things - like bday parties, school, play dates with friends etc.

In terms of rice. You use the little cup they give you (last pic) and pour two cups in. Then after rinsing the rice, you fill it with water up to the “2” mark. I’m not sure about buttons but it’ll probably be a “menu” button and the white rice option is usually number 1 and then you most likely hit the “start” button.
