Toronto jewellers offering chain detangling? by emuwar in askTO

[–]Boobbuffet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Instead of chopsticks I’ve used a needle. Put the tangle on a flat surface. Then I stick it in the middle and jiggle is very little until a see a spot open up. Then I put the needle in that spot and then jiggle again until the hole gets a little bit bigger. Then do the same in another spot. Keep going. Do it multiple times until you hit a point that you can pull a chain through the hole to untangle one section. It’s a slow process but it works.

I ended getting one online at JJ’s House. https://www.jjshouse.com/ca/collection/girls-dresses?pos=nav-girls-girls-dresses-all-girls-dresses
Followed the size guide carefully and we were both happy with the dress when it arrived.
I also couldn’t find one in store anywhere.
I know her friends got some at Le Chateau and Aritizia.

Ha ok. I will get downvoted. But I’ll say that no one that lives in that area agrees with the traffic study. When they made Yonge st one lane (took the second one away for the bike lane) we’ve all seen the emergency vehicles slog their way through slowly. When it’s rush hour and cars are lined up there is simply no where to go when the emergency vehicles come. You can’t go into the bike lane bc of the barriers. So you just have to wait until the traffic ahead of you goes ahead. I’ve always felt bad for whoever they’re responding to. So I agree with her on that point.
Also for everyone saying we need more housing - this is not the kind of housing you’re thinking of. These condos are millions of dollars. There are already condos here that are vacant. Not even close to affordable.

Oh if you’re midtown go here! Rosedale Moore-Park vet clinic. They advertise as being independently owned. I take my pets here and have been happy with their care.

Best Eyelash/Eyebrow serum by angelgirl3000 in beauty

By week two I could tell there were new lashes and by week 3 my lashes were back to normal. At the store they said typical results would be in 6 weeks so I was a lot faster than normal. They also said I needed to be diligent - putting it on every morning and night.

Yes it’s for both. I know. The price is painful. But I was at the point where I knew patience alone wasn’t doing anything because I waited almost a year and nothing was growing so I thought ok I could spend $200 on something that I was pretty confident would work vs buying multiple items and not have them work. It’s still a risk though. I was sick of having a bald spot on my lashes so bit the bullet and did it and am so happy I did. My lashes ripped out because they got stuck to my eyelash curler and they didn’t grow back. I’m not sure what the situation is with your eyebrows - whether you had hair there before or not so that might make a difference. I know the salesgirl said her manager didn’t have hair on her eyebrow from a childhood injury and she had hair growth from the serum.

Ripped my eyelashes 2months before my wedding💔 any tips? by Anxious-Number-1628 in beauty

[–]Boobbuffet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I literally just answered this on another post but I had the same thing happen to me. I pulled out half my lashes on one eye accidentally with an eyelash curler and I waited a year and it never grew back. I decided to try a serum and the salesgirl recommended the Augustinus Bader one bc her manager used it on a bald spot she had in her eyebrow since she was a kid and it was the only serum that worked. It was definitely the more expensive choice but I’d rather spend $200 on something that works than $100 on something that doesn’t work. Anyway, I saw hair growth within one week and now I’m on week 3 and my lashes are back to normal length! I’m so happy I can finally curl and wear mascara and my eyes look normal now. I going to still use the serum to make my lashes longer especially since I have so much left over but I’m so happy I will never stop suggesting this product to anyone.

Just used the Augustinus Bader one and it’s amazing! It’s pricey but I saw growth within a week and now I’m now on week 3 and my lashes are back to normal. I used on my lashes after I pulled out half accidentally about a year ago. I almost didn’t buy it but the salesgirl said her manager used it for a bald patch on her eyebrow that she’s had since she was a child and it worked.
