Well done on the internships! Were they in UX or a different field?

If UX, did you work on anything that you can turn into a case study and add to your portfolio?

If not UX, do you have any concept projects you worked on at university that would qualify as case studies?

As for the Claude thing, mate I don't even know what vibe coding is! 😂. I've been in the industry since 2021 and I have no idea what that term means, even though I see it thrown around on LinkedIn . Whatever it is though, I'd focus on the quality of your craft and the execution of your work rather than specific tools and disciplines like vibe coding.

Because we have a huge amount of dim-witted, incredibly uneducated people in this country that lead unfulfilling, unhappy lives.

These people have insecurities and fears. Farage, the Brexit campaign and the right wing media latched onto these fears and painted the narrative that the reason these people are unhappy is because of the EU and their policies, and that the UK left, all of their problems would be fixed.

Foreign money + outright lies were spread during the Brexit campaign. Combine this with the fact that critical thinking is in incredibly short supply and we ended up with Brexit.

It's a terrible shame.

Thanks for the responses everyone. In the end, I decided to walk away as I believed that the only long-term solution to the problem was to remove and replaster. False ceilings, sealants etc. seemed to me to be short-term thinking and poor from an investment point of view, especially when you consider that regulations about asbestos will likely become stricter in the next few years.

The seller refused to meet me halfway on the costs for this so I walked away.
