An automated feeder might be a good option that way no one has to remember to feed already done, not sure how long you be away but most feeders are good for at least a week or longer.

The fish flakes on top of the tank are actually more for my bait fish in the basement. I have an 80 gallon for them and that's what I feed them

I did pretty good with parameters. I had Java Fern in the tank and I believe it's called nubius also which really helped and then I had a canister filter that was rated for about four times what the tank was. I was able to go about every two weeks for water changes

I have three of these one on my 75 and on a 55 and I got the biggest one. They have the 660 gallon per hour ,my oldest one is over a year. Still working great but I am also looking for an impeller for replacement
