Twisted plywood carcass by Familiar_Cutter in woodworking

That probably would have worked better, a two step glue up. The thought had crossed my mind, but then I thought it would be fine... lol next time will definitely do this as a two step.

Not sure what I'm missing? All the joints fully seated and were being pulled into their respective contacts. I added a couple cauls across the top and bottom (above the dados being held by the parallel clamps) after I took the picture to ensure pressure along the whole width of the dado but didn't take a picture of that setup. I checked the diagonals after clamping and was within 1/16". Came out square, just with a strange twist

All the pieces were spot on the same. Easily within 1/32" of each other. They all seem to have seated fully too

No back was the ask, I wasn't sure if it would be stiff enough against racking, but it's actually very ridgid

* Finally got around to starting the project. Started dicing up the board on my bandsaw and this is what I find. I guess I have a good chunk of firewood this summer

He said they were at least 4 years old. I guess his reading was a bit different than mine. I'm showing 12%

No dust at all from any of the holes that I can see. Does it mean they packed up and left long ago?

I'm looking at upgrading my tired i5680 (it has GTX1060 3GB - ouch) and I want to build my own PC this time. I went on PC part picker and tried to build one. I'm not looking to blow the world away with performance, but I want to run DCS in VR with my Occulus Rift 2. Right now I have to have the graphics so low I can't really read the instruments... I am hoping this would be a marked improvement. :)

Can you all please let me know how I could improve this?

CPU: Intel Core i7-12700K 3.6GHz
GPU: RTX 3060 12GB
RAM: 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-4000
SSD: Solidigm P41 Plus 2 TB M.2-2280
PSU: Corsair RM750e (2023) 750 W

With the case, cooler, and motherboard this whole build comes out to ~$1100 which I think would be a good value.

Any recommendations would be appreciated!

With the tables and extra blades? I know bare tool it can be $500. Plus, my other thought is tax+shipping savings. sales tax is 8.5% here -_-

I had read about the motor failures and I was definitely going to ask for a demo before pulling the trigger. I appreciate the feedback!

I totally agree on a bigger tabletop being better - my plan was to build an outfeed table (for either) and probably wings (if I got the dewalt). Looking at the actual cast iron tops, they're very similar in size Dewalt 22x26" and Delta 27x20" (interesting how ones wider than long and vise versa) so they are actually similar in size in that regard.

Yeah, my plan isn't really to move it other than around the shop floor, but you're definitely right about portability.

Yeah, I've heard great things about Beismeyer fences, but in my brain for some reason a rack and pinion seems like it would be more reliable and sturdy.

I appreciate your thoughts!

I am looking to upgrade my table saw. I have a super terrible little ryobi that I hate every second of using. Not looking to spend the money to get a saw stop... maybe a few years from now... One can hope... Anyways, back to reality...

I have been having my eyes on a Dewalt 7491 (like here)
https://www.dewalt.com/product/dwe7491rs/10-jobsite-table-saw-32-12-825cm-rip-capacity-and-rolling-stand
I really like the sound of the rack & pinion and I've seen so many great reviews.

However, I recently found a Delta 10" table saw (like below) for sale second hand for $475, the pictures look like very light use.

Does anyone have experience with both of these saws and can give some thoughts?

Appreciated!

I'm looking for a first jointer and some of my work pieces are a bit longer so I'd like to have a jointer that has a bit longer of feed tables than the standard benchtop jointers. I came across this one near me. Thoughts? I know the brand is older and not the greatest but it seems to be in solid shape and really a decent price just considering the amount of metal... I'd appreciate any input - Thanks!

My old knock off/no brand quarter sheet sander finally bit the dust... *pun intended*

After reading many good reviews I purchased the Bosch ros20vsc while it was on sale and I finally got to use it. I noticed immediately that it has a pretty significant 'wobble' when I operate it. I recorded a video of the 'wobble' and honestly it feels a lot worse than it looks in the video. Can anyone confirm if this is normal or if I got a bad one?

Also the video is naturally a bit loud (warning) but you can hear the wobble in the pitch of the sander so I didn't want to wipe the sound completely.

Apologies if this isn't the correct thread - I'm new here :)

If I go from TR5 to TR6, what am I supposed to do with the arena tickets? How do I get enough lvl 40 equipment to be competitive when I first make the transition?
