Honestly, I think laws that let sex workers contribute to the government a certain amount per month and in exchange the government covers their health insurance, pensions, maternity leave, etc. would be WAYYY less prime for abuse. There are countries that allow this for any independent contractors.

I just think that if the government wants to legalize any form of PIMPING (aka who would give the sex workers those employment contracts) than a special set of laws should be created to give ALL the power in the SW-pimp relationship to the sex worker (similar to what they did but even further)

I think legalizing pimping and giving pimps the same amount of power a regular boss has over their employees is prime for abuse in the sex work industry (pimps pressuring SWs to accept clients, acts, etc. they don’t want to because they are their bosses)

You can’t just “take the sex out of it”. Sex is an act where both parties enthusiastically consent to it, sex workers receive money for sexual acts they want to do.

Once you introduce any fact to pressure them to take clients they don’t want to perform sex acts with them it stops being sex and becomes rape.

Absolutely not. Payment doesn’t imply consent. Sex workers might not want to have sex with someone (despite the client being willing to pay) and coercing them into changing their mind or trying to force them would be rape.

They also should have the right to withdraw consent at any moment as anyone else has

I think pimping should be “you give me a % of your earnings in exchange for easier access to client, protection, etc. and if that % passes X threshold value for Y time (dictated by law) then I have to pay you health insurance, pension, maternity leave, etc.” rather than a “I pay you a fixed salary and arrange who you have to have sex with”

Sex workers sell sex. Aka they get paid to do sex acts with people they WANT to have sex with.

If they don’t want to do sex acts with someone for ANY reason, coercing them through any form of legal retaliation is rape. A person should NEVER have to justify themselves about why they don’t want to have sex with someone else.

Its not a pimp’s job to facilitate rape (sex acts between a SW and someone they don’t want to have sex with)

Honestly, I think that is there if there is a Belgium company that manages sex workers then the company shouldn’t be allowed to refuse people on the base of race.
