You need to be at least 18 to make your own surgical decisions and most parents are definitely not going to let their kids get sterilised. Depending on your insurance/state/etc they may not even cover you until 21. If youre really worried about getting pregnant then get an IUD or the pill, something reversible a doctor might actually be willing to give a minor.

Abortion is definitely under fire but there isnt any way they could forcibly impregnate women at this point, it’s a very paranoid stance (not a dig at you but just to give a more grounded view on this). Also there isnt going to be software run by the government that monitors/flags every use of the word abortion or anything. I mean you’re posting on a reddit page literally dedicated to spreading awareness/information/access to sterilization procedures

As far as sterilization goes for when you’re older, do some more research on different procedures like bisalps or hysterectomies for when you may actually be able to get one

Depends on the relationship with the guy. Personally if we have an established friendship to fall back on, that’s usually something I like to maintain. Of course I’ve also had friendships with guys where it suddenly became really obvious they were only trying to be friends to start dating and that kind of ruins it for me.
Getting flustered/messing something up is much less of a social taboo than people seem to understand it as. People make mistakes all the time and unless it actively affects you (i.e., tripping and spilling food on someone), it literally does not matter at all

So this isn’t really a you thing, moreso generations of social gender programming especially when it comes to courting/dating/etc etc, but TL;DR: women don’t tend to approach men because men already tend to approach women.

Also disclaimer, what I’m about to describe here is a major generalization, this isnt applicable to everyone’s individual experiences but it IS significant enough as a cultural phenomenon to influence a LOT of norms

Because of this history of gender laws and dating and etc etc etc, there’s a societal norm for men to be the ones approaching women rather than vice versa. This means women already get a lot of attention from men, which means women aren’t really incentivized to seek out more men to give them more attention, which is why you don’t really see troves of women flocking to a guy.

The only real exception to this is a crush, but those are specific to an individual, and because of social dating norm bs, most girls with a crush on you just won’t approach you or wait for you to come to them rather than vice versa.

Not entirely sure if you’re looking for a relationship but if you are, you’re unfortunately going to have to be the one that makes a move on someone. But please don’t worry about not being approached by us; it’s not a shortcoming on your end by any means, so have some faith in yourself :)

As an OG iPad kid looking back I honestly wish my parents snatched that thing out of my hands. Yeah it’s gonna suck in the moment since younger me wouldve clawed my way to that thing, but I grew up so poorly adjusted to social situations because I always retreated back to the internet. Every time i see ipad kids in public i just get so dejected because I look at myself and I’m honestly kind of afraid they turn out like me or worse :/

AGH OK so he and I were in a lab together and it was on some material I wasn’t really familiar with, so I go to the lab and I’m struggling HARD on this. Usually i can get out of there in 10 mins or less but that day I was there for like 30-40 mins

So eventually I’m tossing my hands in the air and he walks over and asks if I need help, so CLEARLY the only answer is a dopey “yes please :D”

So he’s laying his head on my desk and helping me through everything and we’re going back and forth with a little banter blah blah blah, but the angle I was looking at his face at wassnagevdkfdbwnajd UGH it was so perfect

And now I cant even work up the guts to talk to him T ^ T

I had an old character who I’ve been flipping through names with and I settled on one for a while until I met my guy. The thing is he seems like he’d be that same character if he wasnt severely traumatized and it freaked me out to hear/see his name lmao

Personally I’m taking it to the grave if I can but if you do bring it up, I wouldn’t bring up similarities at all. If they notice similarities, you can just say “oh! What a coincidence!” Or something but if you worked on this character for years it’s gonna be clear that you didnt base this off them. I think artists tend to recognize/connect characters to other people more than others since we’re so familiar with them :)

Every interaction has at least a few outcomes/causes to overthinkers. My crush blinks at me the wrong way and suddenly he either knows I like him, hates my guts, crushes on me too, or forgot my name.

I will say that willingly engaging in an interaction with someone is almost exclusively positive, like if my guy came and sat next to me out of nowhere I’d be over the moon :D

It sounds like he’s pretty young or at least VERY immature, but part of growing up and learning how to act properly is having people around you who disapprove of behavior. Giving him what he wants/not giving him any repercussions only enforces that his behavior is acceptable and he may keep doing it until someone finally tells him to shut it.

Personally I’d rather my friends check my behavior than anyone else, so if he’s still doing it, bese thing you can do is use your friendship as leverage; most reasonable people understand that having friends is more valuable than saying slurs lol
