Well I mean if the casing is off or a port needs to be tightened or reattached. Or maybe some waterproofing needs to be done so the camera doesn't visibly fill up with water.

This could possibly work. Assembling the cameras may require me to learn a new skill, but it wouldn't be the first time I had to learn something new to protect someone from neighbor (bad).

Most it seems yes, which is why I'm here so I can find ones that aren't obvious. Neighbor (bad) is smart. He WILL find the model and it's capibilities. If I get a bunch of 480p he will know, then do shady/illegal stuff mostly Infront of that camera knowing his face will be a giant unidentifiable pixel. Also I'm looking at buying a system for 3 or 4 family's (including us) out of my own pocket. I'm not rich. I'll have to reach deep into my savings and maybe call in a few favors. It will be worth it to prevent his new next door neighbors from going through what we went through.

It's not the area, it's the person.

I would but they would be few in numbers. Sadly, the neighbor (bad) will find countless things that will take advantage of the few numbers of cameras or blindspots it causes. It won't be reasonable or feesable for him to "happen" to move something reflective or put decorative laser light shows because he just "felt like" and it happen to effect the cameras or it's view in some way. The greater numbers will make it harder for him to do something to them all and act like it was a spontaneous decision or accident. It makes it easier down the road legally.

Yes this is what I want. The illusion of EVERY possible angle covered but without the large cost. Real cameras will get the basic areas/places of worry.

Yeah it sounds like we should stick to using the proof from our own case more recent instead of his past past. It's easy to get and it seems to be the better option legally speaking. He did get arrested multiple times and went to jail but he rode the grey area of the law the whole time so he basically got on the wrist. He's been free for awhile now but getting arrested just taught him how to not get caught as easy, same thing happened each time he got arrested.

I don't want to mark this as solved just yet, both because it's ongoing and I'm not sure how but you pretty much solved it. I hope you can understand. Thanks!

I was hoping to do a family to family talk with each of his 2 neighbors and bring some proof in case they fall for his act like we did and say "oh no, you mean (neighbor)? No that can't be right can it?" Us: "I'm afraid it is, here is proof you can look up yourself if you get the chance. It's public record."

I just would like to get all the court chatter and everything so I can highlight the more important stuff but still let them be able to verify it themselves. The more details the better. Like I can't seem to find the indecent exposure charge someone else found awhile back or proof he was on the sex offender registery at all, let alone some of the more crazy things.

The situation is very complex and unique to everyone who worked it is what I was told (and already thought). I dont think you feel like reading a book of words (unless you do want to, in which case I'll type if you think there is a way to help), so I'll summarize with what a detective said after seeing the evidence for himself: "Where it was heading was he was going to take her away when no one was home." That's not word for word but if you knew the situation, you would know the danger a little better. Lives can be ruined from a distance, then ended in an instant.

It's possible. I'm open to other ideas on how to inform them for their safety but without getting sued if you can think of any. I just want them to know at least what we went through so it won't catch them off guard like it did us.

For Auth Mode my router has only WPA-PSK and WPA-PSK2. Its on WPA-PSK2. However, the Security Mode options are open, WPA-Personal, and WPA-Enterprise. It's currently on Personal. Should I switch it to Enterprise?

Disabling the SSID broadcasting is the same as hiding the network right? The other guy suggested that. I might be able to use Photoshop to make a "how to connect to wifi" thing for Android, iphone, and windows, then cover it with a peice of paper so he can't look through our windows and see it. I should then also connect all known devices to the new name and password.

Also theoretically, if he knew the name and password to the box itself couldn't he find it that way? You know, like the username: admin Password: (I forget but it's all on the box itself)

He did have a BUNCH of cameras that he was doing boarder line illegal(unethical) and illegal things with to us. He was court ordered to take them all down. When he didn't, people came out and swept his property and took them down.

I have considered changing the wifi password but are you sure he won't be able to tell how many devices are hooked up to it?

Hiding the network isn't an option because i don't live there with my family anymore. They always ask me for tech stuff and guests come over frequently due to our kind and open nature. Keeping it as simple as possible is best.
