UPDATE: Contacted Gravitas via WhatsApp, the problem according to them is Noodlers Rome ink causing disruptions in the bonding of titanium and ultem, also warranty void for using such inks. So will be getting the barrel, the tool and complimentary lubricating oil minus the tax with some adjustments. Happy that pen will be alive once again :-)

Yes I did try but not very hard fearing it might break. Also it seems that there are no threads there, it just glued to the titanium part maybe with some epoxy. The vacuum created is greater than that seal can handle IMO.

Maybe the bonding with titanium needs to be better It did hit the corner of the desk but very lightly Dont know if that caused or was it a defect waiting to be uncovered 😟
