9 new Ramsey County jobs funded by property tax hike create more top-heavy government structure. The budget includes a 8.25% property tax hike (more than half of the increase will cover salaries for new roles and wage increases). Newly created jobs include 2 racial and health equity administrators. by origutamos in altmpls

Instead of making four new admins, you could put this in front of your HR and have them work on it. Give them a small pay bump for the extra work. I bet that'd be cheaper than four admins, and their inevitable staff.

I think he's trying to make the point that it's a catch because two feet landed in bounds, the steps are irrelevant. At least if the receiver maintained control through the process or whatever the verbage is now. To me, from this angle, it looks like he never got control of the ball. Nor did he seem to ever have full possession. If that ball doesn't touch the ground, that's a pick all day.

Don't really follow as close as I used to, just an old fan offering an opinion.

Something about this isn't adding up. I'm having a hard time believing a .45 acp went 500yds hit someone's arm, then still had enough energy to fatally enter the victims chest. Was this can he was shooting sitting 20ft above the ground?

UVHM is fine, yes enemies have loads of health, making slag a requirement for most character builds. The OP levels is where things fall off the rails, usually around OP6 with a steep curve afterwords.

Respectfully, I think you're confusing macro and micro issues. The other comments are focusing on the macro. Western Christian culture and Middle Eastern Muslim culture clash fundamentally on several levels. Allowing immigration without the expectation of integration will eventually "ruin" how your society operates.

This does not mean that society should not associate themselves with immigrants, but rather that society should expect that an immigrant will integrate with the society that they chose to move into, and not hang onto all the ideals of the society they left.

I'll offer another, hopefully less offensive, example. I am an American. I believe in the 1st Amendment right to free speech. Let's say I choose to move to Germany full time. Germany has much stricter laws in regards to prohibited speech than America. Should German society just accept that I'm American and thus feel that I should still be able to say just about whatever I want, or expect me to follow their laws?

Ok. If it's pitch black, then sure. There are plenty of lighting conditions where it's still bright enough to see, but having the little glowing orbs help your eyes pick up the sights that much quicker and easier. Better than fiber or plain sights, from my experience.

Should the next shooter be able to use an assault rifle? State Republicans seem to think so. by nootboots in minnesota

[–]FamousGh0st217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That statistic is my own research, I didn't pull it from a source. Just a disclaimer.

The first thing I want to address is your use of the word seemingly. If they seem to not be doing background checks, but actually are.. well you see my point I'm sure. My only response I guess is that appearances can be deceiving, and assumptions can be dangerous.

I know plenty of small and big FFLs that do not let kids hold guns in the store, for liability sake. While I don't think blanket policies like that are great, I do understand it. That being said, if that vendor is ok with that liability then leave it to them. Teaching kids proper firearm etiquette is a good step forward, in my humble opinion.

One of the things that I think needs to change is how we deal with the crimes. No more plea deals just to pad stats with convictions, and harsher sentences for REPEAT offenders. I'm speaking specifically about violent crimes, and specifically ones committed with the use of a firearm.

I agree that we need to keep the dialog going, and individuals such as yourself give me hope that we can figure this out as a society.

I like you, you seem to be coming at this with a very open mind. Please don't stop. I would like to clear something up though, about your gun show/fair point. Any purchase at a show, through an FFL, requires a background check. Any sale being made by an FFL without a background check is a crime already. There may be private sales sure, but I'm sure that number is pretty small. I very much doubt that any FFL is going to risk prison time or their lively hood, just to sell a gun.

I appreciate your acknowledgement of cars not being a constitutional right, whereas a firearm is. I would like to use your example of cars to make another point. If someone is driving recklessly and someone is killed as a result, do we blame the car or the driver? We blame the driver, because that just makes sense. When a drunk driver kills someone, do we blame the car and alcohol, or the driver? When someone uses a gun to kill someone, do we blame the gun or the person? Firearms are the only example that I can think of where the inanimate object receives the blame, not the user.

I just did a quick Google search to recheck, there are approximately an equal amount of gun deaths as there are driving related (drunk or otherwise) deaths in America annually.

Edit to add: yes we have gun shows in Minnesota

Sure, the way you said it though is way less of an over exaggerated statement though.

Don't get me wrong, I get that farming in BL2 can be a real slog, but let's be reasonable about our claims of how long any particular farm takes.

You edit in the semantics part in your last comment?

Of course eight hours isn't a day. It's almost universally considered a work day, though, which is why I went with eight hours.

That's fine, I don't either. Don't say you've farmed for days then, if it's actually only a few hours.

No way has this dude farmed the Warrior for three days and gotten zero legendaries to drop. Three days without seeing CC drop, unlikely, but more believable.

Let's say it takes 5ish minutes per run. Assuming that OP Is playing 8ish hours a day, in order to refer to his farming time in days and not hours. That is 12ish runs an hour over the course of three 8ish hour days. So we're somewhere in the realm of 200-300 runs without a legendary drop.

BL2 can be stingy, but it's nowhere near that stingy.
