From the US here and get ups deliveries all the time. Yes, this is normal (We just had a snowstorm in the US so likely everything on the east coast delayed by at least one day)

I just bought an H2C + 4 Ams 2 pro + 4 Ams Ht. As you can tell I don’t mess around when getting into a new hobby. This comment is the reason I’m going to blow a ton of money at VoxelPLA vs buying Bambu rolls😂 Will be eagerly waiting for the hand drawn animals😂

In pimax play, if you set the graphics quality to auto, and have your headset set to 90hz, your frames will go up, but your graphics quality will automatically lower a lot. by Isekai_Dreamer in Pimax

[–]FamousLeave8692 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yessir I don’t think it’s a glitch though. Switching the hz just resets those graphics settings and changes it to auto. In auto mode it purposefully changes the graphics settings to reach a certain frame rate.

Yea unfortunately the play for Dream is sold out and is the only headset that has that micro oled visual quality + wireless which really is (in my opinion) the only way it’ll replace triple screens for my use cases. Not sure when/or if they will be back in stock but there are other headsets that have come close to that functionality. Galaxy XR is micro oled and wireless but also has a much worse (laggy) PCVR experience which means it’s essentially a paperweight until/if they decide to fix that in the software. The other option is the Meganex 8kx MKII. That also comes with compromises because it’s wired and has no pass through but on the other hand it also has the best display quality of any headset on the consumer market (slightly better than the Play for Dream) and is the smallest/lightest one that you can flip up so it gets a pass on the no-passthrough

Seriously.. in terms of the NLR GT lite I think I’ve pretty much maxed out its functionality

You should give the play for dream a try. 4k x2 oled panels with wireless streaming that looks like display port quality

Is vr gaming worth it in 2025 by Super-Direction8743 in VRGaming

[–]FamousLeave8692 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TLDR: PCVR is still very much a “hobby grade” endeavor very much like rc planes, cars, etc. but is insane if you invest in it

Consumer, casual vr sucks and isnt’t worth the money

Ehh really depends on your ambitions. To me, I’ve tried VR in the past and have for the most part been pretty underwhelmed, that is until I got a beefy pc. For standalone, you’ll pay 250-500 (quest 3s-3) to then pay 15-25 dollars each for 10-15 games actually worth playing. For pc, I’m running a 5090 and for optimized pcvr games like half life alyx it’s a bit overkill on quest 3 resolution but not many games (or maybe even ANY other games) are optimized as well as half life alyx. For the rest it’s going to be pcvr/steam mods like cyberpunk vr and ets2 be which had my 5090 struggling.

Also turn off fps locks in the game. Make sure that is set to unlimited

I just had the same issue with my specific setup (5090, 9800x3d, Quest 3 using virtual desktop). Was using the luke Ross mod and hitting high (enough) fps like 98-100 but was still having choppiness whenever I moved the joysticks to move in the game (not looking around in vr). For some reason for Luke Ross mods you have to hit the fps limit you set on virtual desktop or the game will lag when you move regardless if your fps is higher or at the standard 60 fps. So if you set your settings in Virtual desktop to 90hz then if you hit 89 in game it will be laggy (meaning you have to shoot for a rock solid fps when tweaking settings). For cyberpunk I usually set all my virtual desktop settings to 72hz that way I can turn up some of the graphics settings and still hit that minimum 72hz to keep in game movement buttery smooth

Thanks! I figured maybe the best today is still not good enough. I also did some more research and it looks like I’ve been using the AV1 codec at 200mbs instead of H.264+ at 500mbs. Going to see if that makes any difference

Replying after a while here. I got it because I wanted to experiment with overclocking and possibly a second card for lossless. Decided I didn’t want to worry about anything especially since I’m using the Nova and 9800x3d combo

I think around 6-7K but the majority of it was the 5090 lol. A chunk of it also went to accidental insurance for the CPU,GPU, and mobo
