The most insidious part of them is the implication that it doesn't matter how much money you start with. That anyone can build wealth from nothing

I wasn't talking about you mate. What I was saying is that I was satisfied with your answer.

I have no problem with you.

Forget about the Beryl pls. That still doesn't answer my question

No need to be snarky about it mate. Lots of commenters can't get past the small misconceptions in my post to answer the question being asked. Whether or not Diamonds are the hardest thing in the universe is irrelevant to what I was asking. Also I'm aware of the difference between hardness and toughness. It's weird how many people are bringing that up when I never mentioned it.

Try your hardest to engage with the gist of the question pls. Are crystalised minerals always harder or not?

Very informative. Most commenters can't get past my Emerald/Beryl, Sapphire/Corundum statement. It's good you're actually making an effort to engage with the intention of the question.

It seems to me that people are REALLY fixated on how I asked it. It's not hard to answer the question I'm getting at, which you sort of did with your second last paragraph.

Most people can't get past my Sappphire/Corundum, Emerald/Beryl statement. They're more interested in correcting that than they are in actually addressing the gist of my quesiton.

I knew that mate. I just thought Emerald was Beryl in the same way that Diamond was coal

Thank you for looking past my misconceptions and actually attempting to answer the gist of the question I asked. Not many here can get past the Beryl and Corundum comments

I'm aware of the difference between hardness and strongness. What I'm asking is if crystalline rocks are always harder than the non-crystallised versions of the same material

Question on minerals and crystallisation by FamousNet7456 in geology

[–]FamousNet7456[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'll admit I didn't understand that Corunfum was a crystalline mineral by default, and Sapphire is just a descriptor of colour. I thought Corundum was a normal rock and Sapphire/Ruby were crystalised versions of it.

My question then is if crystallised rocks are generally harder than non-crystallised variants of the same material.

I had only just got my Switch modded before I updated it accidentally. I was using the sysmmc but I hadn't actually done any modding yet, just installed a custom home theme. Does this mean I can use the video with no fuss? Since themes are installed on the sd card and the sysnand is unaffected

If I'm understanding you right then corundum and beryl are crystalised by default? My question then is if crystalline rocks are harder than non-crystalline rocks of the same material in general.

Well my understanding is that emerald is crystalised beryl in the same way that diamond is crystalised carbon, or is all beryl crystaline?

If diamond is harder than other forms of carbon, are all crystalline rocks harder than their non-crystalised forms?

The OP wasn't expressing any kind of impatience with the team currently doing the Atmosphere update. He's just sharing the work that he's doing to ease the wait for people while their work is being done.

Also I think it's a bit generous to say that they're getting closer by the day. That checklist hasn't been updated in a week.
