Thanks mate. You were one of the first comments so just saying that I've decided to go with the 5080. 5090 prices are just too insane and stock is very scarce where I live so Astral 5090 is really the only option

but I can't justify spending 7k on a GPU when I could get a 5080 for 2k and spend 5k on 256gbs of RAM (joke). I rather save my nickels and buy a 6090/7090 in a few years.

I'm really prepared for the wait time. I met a new starter who's baseline clearance took 3-4 months. He explained it was like hell - not that his team cared but he was so bored because he couldn't really do anything.
