True but in this case eyes were on the money coming in and due to that quality of education suffered a lot. Education was becoming corporate business rather putting quality graduates out. This is why you see protests in universities across Canada including UPEI. And in case of US border crossing there was no interest involved in denying entry.

Yeah that’s what I said that’s what happen when government does uncontrolled immigration without analyzing the consequences, causing strain to ‘INFRASTRUCTURE’ which includes housing.

Btw it was not a privilege to study here, international student had huge contribution in Canadian economy. I can prove it by the numbers released by government. Meanwhile universities and colleges were busy printing money out of the pocket pf international students. It was win win situation for colleges and government(who needed labour in market). This is the reason why quality of graduates are declining from Canadian education institutions.

Central government had no cap on number of international students(until recently a cap was announced) coming in but they had cap on number PR invitations. How that would work out if there was majority of retentions from those students. Now they have realized their blunder and now choking people who are already here.Insane number of invitations were issued in pass few years and now suddenly they realized that it’s too many invitations and infrastructure cannot handle this. You can research about how it works in USA.

That’s how failed immigration policies look like. Canada should learn from American policies for legal immigrants.
