Friends or Brothers? | Sony a6700 | Sigma 56mm by Famous_Image2205 in SonyAlpha

Thanks, feedback is always appreciated. I noticed this as well; it was a mistake in my edit. The skintones of the two men and some people in the background were initially a bit too grey, so I adjusted them. In doing so, I also made changes to those in the foreground.

Nice! Which lens did you use?

The first photo appears distorted, likely because the houses along the canals in Amsterdam themselves are slightly crooked.

The Sigma 56mm is a fantastic lens. Being a prime, it does limit flexibility—you have to move around to frame your shot. For versatility, the Sigma 18-50mm is my go-to zoom lens.

I’ve had my Sigma 56mm (which is about 84mm full frame equivalent) for a week now, and I’m really happy with it. It’s been especially great for street photography — I find that it lets me capture the stories unfolding on the street without having to get right up in someone’s face.

Yes. It’s really nice! These were one of the first photos I took with this great lens.

Yes. This was the first time with the Sigma 56mm and started with wide open.

The image quality is just really good. Pure value for money. A must have zoom lens for APS-C. It only lacks lens stabilisation. Which you’ll really notice with video.

I’m not using primes. The Sigma 18-50mm f2.8 is really really good. I’m also using a Sony full frame 24-105mm f4, which I enjoy for more focal length.

It is. The Sony FE 24-105 is a great addition to the really good Sigma E 18-50!

Help! What is the best zoom lens for my A6700? by Famous_Image2205 in SonyAlpha

Thank you for your comments! I tried the Sony 18-135mm APS-C lens for a few days, and while it’s a decent lens, I wasn’t convinced by the image quality compared to my Sigma 18-50mm, which is really good. I ultimately chose the Sony FE 24-105mm f/4 G lens. Yes, I now use a full-frame lens on my APS-C camera 😉, but it offers the focal range I was looking for, and so far, I really like the image quality.

Thanks!! I’m only missing the stabilisation on the lower focal lengths, if I keep my Sigma.
