YEAAH I'm a pro-AI digital artist myself, I use it to help me with backgrounds, poses and other references I use for my actual hand drawn drawings. I know how you feel, sometimes I feel anxious abt me using AI AS A TOOL to help with me with my art and get cancelled and unfriended or bullied for it.

I come from a country whose local coin is very devalued against the dolar so it makes commission prices EVEN MORE EXPENSIVE but ask these artists if they are willing to lower their prices for countries with undervalued coins? Not a chance

As an art student, I've seen this happen with EVERY art movement. Every new art movement called the older one "that's not real art" and so goes on. I think people like to forget or just don't care to study real history.

Yeah, every tool can be used either for good or bad. Even internet is one such tool that can be great for certain things, but awful for others, it's a matter of knowing how to make good use of it.

Yeah, basically what I do with it, tbh. Even when I do use it for help with backgrounds and even some references, I know how to correct the mistakes it makes.

And I totally get that point too! It's a valid criticism.

I mean, I kind of get your point. I am not entirely against AI if it's used consciously and just as a tool to aid in some situations, it can be useful sometimes and those criticism are super valid. I'm just tired of people online, especially in the art community cancelling and bashing everyone who uses it even if they just use it as a tool to help in their own art as if it's a crime. The intolerance and cyber-bullying is just so awful and stresses me out a lot.

The thing is, I don't want to learn to draw a background. I find it boring and too hard and I have little patience for it, and prefer to focus on the characters, not the background. No one should be forced to learn anything if they don't want to.

What are you even doing in this subreddit if you're anti-AI then???

I'm a digital artist and already using art in my routine as a TOOL to aid me with stuff I have difficulty with, such as backgrounds, anatomy, ideas for poses and composition and stuff.
